Art is definitely cool in this one.  Player is super fast and the camera is jumpy currently.  Some tweaks to that and I think it would be even more fun!

Good little game :)  The art is charming and the sounds are good.  I'm really happy to hear you got your daughter involved in the game making process!

My biggest issue with the game is the fact that the camera follows the mouse instead of the player.  This leads to some very jumpy, nausea-inducing movement.

Like Ereborn said, it would be good to have an indicator of why we change levels and how long until the next one, whether it's time or number of enemies destroyed.

Nice, fast paced game. I love the art!

Nice and active shooting game! A bit more text about the game play may be helpful for the player. It took me a while to realize that when two octopuses collide they become a big, target-searching one. Probably because it always happened off-screen in the part where I was not shooting the small ones :)

It's not clear when / why a next level is reached;  the counter just increments. I did not get to the end unfortunately. Maybe if the health was reset at each level?

Yeah, I planned on having a small tutorial for the first level or two.  Ideally with a cut scene showing the merge.  There are a ton of gameplay tweaks and juice I was hoping to add.  The level system currently is supposed to work increase every minute OR twenty seconds of play with no merges(It broke a bit at some point). Every time the level increases the spawn rate increases for the first 5 levels, and then the hitpoints increase by 50% for the last 5 levels.  I intended it to be self-regulating for difficulty, since the better you are the faster it increases.  I agree that the feedback for the player is lacking there.  I had pretty limited time during the week. I did learn a ton though, and I'm pretty sure I will be able to get more done in half the time next jam.  Thanks for the feedback!
