Wow, it feels like a really big game, i really liked the ambient and the music, it really feels medieval, you did a really good job!

Host(+1)

Some really good foundations here! Definitely feel like something bigger is being put together and can't wait to see it. Thank you so much for participating!

Developer

Thank you for hosting the jam and for the kind words... And good work with tooling.gg wish you good things for the future

Some cool ideas here!

Here are some player experience thoughts:

The art style is good for such a short period of time; I appreciate what's going on here.

Guiding players to what's happening; There are a few misleading "dirt paths" and open areas. I.e. When you pick up the draw bridge, the huge empty space encourages the player to go down (and then hit a dead end) and there's a misleading dirt spot that signals a potential secret area.

Player walking paths; there are a few times where the tree collisions block what looks like walkable paths.

Summary:
So in future work; just keep in mind that everything on the screen can guide the player somewhere. Remove unnecessary distractions (paths that lead to nothing; random dead ends, random dirt paths) and focus on the "main path". Once you have the "main path" built, be intentional about including side/secret content.

Thanks for playing and the great feedback... We had a lot more planned in terms of story so thats why the "misleading" dirt paths are there😅... But I understand what you mean by the forest paths that's something we'll definitely keep in mind that there's a purpose to everything... There might or might not be secret content  in the full release (if anyone asks you didn't hear it from me🤫)

Hear what? Sorry? I didn't hear anything (mwahahahaha)

I don't know why but I can't play the game

Developer

Can you describe what happens? Maybe it is a anti virus issue? I'd be happy to help you to get it to work. Have you tried playing the html version? Also if you are playing the html version, certain extension can make it so you are unable to use the controls.

Developer

1. We haven't added support for mobile devices so it won't work if you are trying to play from a browser on mobile devices.
2. If you are playing on a browser on PC, then you'll have to click inside the game window and  use arrow keys to navigate the menu and enter/space bar/z to select the "start" button.

3. In the Windows build, there aren't any issues that we know of in terms of starting the game. If  you're experiencing any problems in the Windows build, then let us know.

Ahh you're right! I'm stupid hahah, I tried to click with my mouse ha

Very ambitious! I like what you have so far.  I didn't realize that was a drawbridge until I read it in the comments.  I thought it was a building or outpost

Developer

Thanks for playing the game... Yeah we definitely overscoped with this one... Thanks for the feedback we'll definitely do something about that like adding a nametag on the interactible objects.

This has great potential to become a full game.  I'd love to see more of it! Good work nonetheless!

Thanks for playing the game and the kind words... We are working on releasing the game with the planned story... Will definitely ping you when we release it.

how did I carry the bridge in my pocket? you do not need to know funny little man, on your way! Hope you guys finish this game, it's a cool concept!

Developer(+1)

Classic Dumbfolk villager always meddling in other people's business.... Thanks for playing the game though... Will definitely ping you when the game is ready.

I loved the art and music, the medieval atmosphere is very well done. Just need more content, I was eager to see what the merchant could offer me😁.

Developer(+1)

Sorry to get your hopes high... There was a misunderstanding with the merchant and he didn't like the script that we had sent him and wanted changes that would've taken too long... He was considerate enough to give his honest opinion about our team though😢

 🧐Picky , but honest.

Hopefully we can come to an arrangement and release the full build. Oh sir merchant, I implore you heed my call.
