Game always crashes when I get to around 60k-70k score using a + Count/Crit Chance/Crit Damage Hunter build (I think because of how many particle effects are on screen at once?). Wickedly fun game though! If the crash is fixed, I will keep going for the highscore.

Hey thanks for playing our game! :)
You should have full control over when you leave the level, since you have to click the Minecart full of Blue Ore button in order to leave. You should technically be able to stay in a level as long as you like.
It is also possible you are missing out on the Egg Clowns! They are the clowns in the blue party hats that run away when you expand the light level. There is a specific way to catch them which you can discover through the upgrade tree (I also gave a guide on how to do it in a comment a little further down).
No problem, I’ll put it in a summary:
How to catch the Egg Clowns
You first need to unlock the Lamppost building from the upgrades tree. Then, while you’re in a level with an Egg Clown, mouse around the darkness until you hear a loud, rasping laugh (or look for a clown glimmer with a blue party hat).
You then need to place a Lamppost close to that spot, which will reveal the Egg Clown in dim light and cause it to fight you instead of run away.
Whoaaa thanks for playing and giving your thoughts!! You bring up so many good points of feedback, echoing stuff that we mulled over quite a bit in the development cycle, like whether clowns should attack during the quiet periods or not. Ultimately, we leaned more toward the "choose your own pace" design, but there are so many things we could add to keep the tension going.
Really appreciate the video, it's very valuable to us devs to see how players interact with the game!!!
Super polished and mechanically deep! Wow, this is very impressive for one week, you guys did amazing work here! For some feedback, I kept accidentally clicking a random upgrade item when a wave finished while I was placing buildings. I think a "UI cooldown" would help here, where I can't choose an upgrade for at least 2 seconds when it shows up, haha.
The building system is cool, but it is weird that when I unlock a production building from the upgrade popup, I can't immediately build it, I have to wait until I unlock a unit that uses the related resource. Would much rather start stockpiling immediately so I'm ready for when I unlock a unit building.
Lots of replayability here, I had a good time!
Loved this! Great vibes and aesthetic, the art direction is phenomenal! The mechanics took a second to get used to, in that I wasn't initially sure how the turn order worked. I also wasn't sure whether the card choices you get after a fight added cards to your deck or upgraded existing cards, so early choices felt a bit haphazard. I would've liked to have had an opportunity to play out more cards in the turn order (maybe as part of a boss encounter, you let the player go all out, etc.)
You've basically got a mini Slay the Spire here! Very impressive for a week jam, you guys must've worked hard!
Super cute game! Reading through all the junk mail was my favorite activity lmao. I did find that sometimes I would lose tenants or houses behind the drawer UI while dragging and dropping, and had to go find them. But besides that, I had a good time! (I purposely got myself fired to see what it was like, haha)
Cool boss fight!! When I figured out I could walk into the side of the screen to appear on the other side, the game changed completely! I will say, for the final boss phase, I discovered that if you stay far enough away, the boss never shoots, so you can cheese it! In any case, had fun! The art is way cool, and definitely gives a strange places vibe!
bruh the opening dialogue audio TOOK ME OUT. But seriously, besides the text being a bit difficult to read in plaices (hehe) this is one of the most visually stunning games I've seen in this jam so far. The audio as well, such wonderful vibes. The gameplay is very Dave the Diver (which I enjoy), and the shop adds a great layer of progression. Very fun hunting the bounty fish and getting distracted by other, more grotesque or shiny specimens.
Amazing what ya'll have pulled off in a week. it's so peak :')
