The jump button (Z, X, or C) has many purposes as it is used for just about every action:
-Jump: Reach higher places.
-Ride Fans: Reach even higher places, faraway places, and lower places.
-Turn on Lights: You can't see without lights.
-Press Switches: Most switches are off the ground, but even ones that aren't require a jump to activate.
-Switch Blocks: Some blocks are toggled each time you jump.

Third-party resources
Written in C++ in Visual Studio using Allegro, pretty much from scratch.
-Music made in Famitracker.

Love the look and feel of this game, feels like a sprawling zelda/metroid puzzler, impressive that you coded it from scratch too! The mechanics are interesting although it can get unclear where to proceed at times.

A rather nice exploration game! The puzzles are actually pretty interesting, although when they're spread out so far with no clear indication where the next switch would be, there's a lot of backtracking that gets tedious after a while. Still, I enjoyed it quite a lot! Good job!
