Interesting idea. But the gameplay become repetitive once I figured out the pattern: using yellow to get close, red to attack, blue to get away, then repeat. I suggest adding some extra gameplay mechanics to make it more challenging. The game would benefit from some effect and sound, but I assume you didn't have enough time for it, this is a game jam after all.
Thanks for the feedback! I was planning to add more enemy variety that required differing strategies so the player had to play more dynamically, but didn't have time for that for the jam so I'm going to add that after voting ends.
Cool idea! It'd benefit from being a bit more dynamic in my opinion, maybe you could have the enemies not being turn based which would for the player to think and act quickly. Doesn't matter much though, still had fun :)
Thanks for the feedback! I was going to make the enemies act in real time, but I thought it was more fun as a turn-based system. I might implement some form of real time elements to it at a later time though!
Very fun little game! Very nice gameplay! Good job!
Thank You!
Well realised core mechanic.
Maybe it could do with a bit of polish - but 48 hours isn’t long to make a game; and I had fun being killed by a giant :D
Thank You!
Simple, but addicting game with a nice retro art style and easy to understand mechanics.
Great game!
Thank You!
Fun concept, I would have liked to see a quick tutorial menu or some text near the colored squares to help figure out what's going on sooner.
Thanks for the suggestion! If I continue development, a proper tutorial is one of the main things on my list of to-do!
Great concept. This could involve into a great game as well!
Thanks!
Great concept! a few more polish and balancing and I could see this become a very fun game.
good job!
Thank You!
I really like the idea for this game and it seems really neat. It was a bit hard to see where I was trying to move though sometimes because of the dice icon around the mouse when moving.
Thanks for the feedback! If I continue development of this game, I'll think about how to fix this issue!
