I like this concept, and placing the dice felt very tactile! I feel like it would be really cool to see hand made levels where you have to use every number.
As a math guy, this game is so freakin cool to me. It's a really elegant and simple idea; my favorite part is that the roman numerals turning into operators. With more levels and maybe multiple math problems you need to solve at once, you can make this a full release puzzle game. Very good job!
Really love the concept!
I would love to see more levels for this :D
I really like the idea, and the presentation and sound is also amazing! However, I often ended up with scenarios where there are no comparison operators available (II or V), even after rerolling (I tried to add screenshots but itch wouldn't let me)
Other than that, I really like the idea, and think it is a really creative take on the theme, as well as being well presented too.
Thank you! Yea, I should've added a check that there are comparison operators.
I was honestly amazed by the concept. It is so simple yet so effective.
I got stuck on one level thinking it was impossible until i saw that you can reroll the dice. Apart from that minor road block this was a really fun game.
I urge you to take this further by fine tuning the mechanics and adding more content. This could be a really great game in a full release.
Best game so far!
Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! Btw, I have two ideas to improve the concept:
They sound like cool additions. Vertical expressions definitely seems like the next logical step to expand on the idea. And it would add way more complexity which is good. I could see this becoming a puzzle game where you have to get various rows and columns to equal a target value using the different dice.
You could also do a similar concept to this game with boolean operators. For example '||' is OR. Also in some notations, 'V' used for AND and '^' (upside down V) is used for OR.
Theres a lot you could do with this. Let me know if you end up taking this anywhere, I'd love to see it.
Thank you for the idea of making equal rows and columns ! I really haven't thought into interaction between them expect for the common linking die.
Yes, boolean operators are definitely a good expansion, but I tried to keep it more accessible (it already has Latin/Roman numbers, which not everyone is fluent with:) ).
Clever. very clever
