I absolutely love this! First off, trains in games are cool and I always like train games. But the design is really cool and unique too, and presents some unique puzzles. I really love the sound design in this, takes me back to old pc games (yes, the ones you get on disc)

I only really wish there would be a pause and fast forward option

Developer

Thank you!

Appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I've been thinking about how controlling the flow of time would alter the game, potentially for the better. I'll test out some ideas and publish an improved version in the near future, hopefully ^-^

I love trains! 😅 The environment and trains look awesome in this game! It was very fun to figure out solutions to all the puzzles, and there was enough variety, given how few game mechanics there are.

As for the puzzles, I didn't understand at first that some crashes are game over, but some are necessary for progression. Seems a bit arbitrary to me. Also, some puzzles look more complicated than they are, for example the inner ring in the last level isn't used for the solution.

I think it would be better if there was a restart level button so I don't have to crash my trains intentionally and to save some time.

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! :)

I think the differences in the crash-ability of the trains is something that could be communicated a lot better. I'll try improve that, if I get a chance to release a new version.

I had a restart button in a pre-alpha but I didn't like how it encouraged my early playtester to play. I have some ideas about how to improve this though ^-^

Cool idea and really really hard.  Reading the rails was a bit hard at times when there is a lot of overlap. Otherwise good job!

Developer

There was a surprising number of information-communication issues we encountered during development! ^-^ Reading the rails could definitely be improved though, Thanks for the feedback!

Lovely art, enjoyable music, and a great concept. As said by the reviewer below, the difficulty curve is pretty steep - maybe some sort of highly limited "slow time" power would be a good way to keep the strategy intact but reduce the reliance on reaction times?

Developer

Agreed, something or other needs to be done here. I like the idea of testing the player's reaction time, but a Katana Zero-like time mechanic does have appealing properties. I'll need to experiment with some things, for sure. I have a track record of tuning games too hard because I get good at them as I make them and don't have enough time to playtest. Alas.

Ideally, there'd be more levels to get the player used to some of the maneuvers too - flatten the difficulty curve a little.

Thanks for the feedback!

Amazing idea! Though devilishly hard. I almost couldn't manage the second level, but managed to pull through.

I approve of this game

Pressing any key to start immediately shows the end screen for the game.

Developer

Thanks for the report, sorry about that, will fix it shortly. Forgot to unset a visibility setting. Pressing any key again should get rid of it?

Ah, thank you! I have edited my rating
