How does your game fit the theme?
The theme of the game is that you record yourself doing certain actions then the clone will follow up by repeating those actions back and forth. The player can use the clone to gain momentum or interact with cetain objects to reach the end of the level

I pretty much liked the game! What I liked the most was the fact that in one of the levels you needed to use your clone in a way to not trap youself in the laser pit, which I think was a very good idea to introduce the fact that the player needs to jump on him while the clone "resets" his position. Overall it's a very solid game for a 4-days game jam, good work!
The game's idea of creating clones in order to navigate through the puzzles feels really fun and creative, which reminds me of those old stickmen games on flash engines that really use the same thing. but my concern with this game is some of the repetitive ideas for stages that almost feels like there was really nothing much to expect, such as creating a clone to hold down buttons, or using them to jump up to high places. It's also worth mentioning that it would be nice if the clone itself automatically presses the button rather than recording your clone and yourself jumping every once in a while so it actually presses it. other than that i like the game.
Quite surprised how so many games took the theme "loop" and made a game about loops.
In my opinion, the idea itself, while done alot, is a cool one. And the game had a good amount of levels and some made me think hard. Yet, I have to put out my critique:
- At the beginning I got confused that the clones have to talk onto a button to activate it. This took dreadfully long to understand and when I did I got onfused :/
- Most levels are a remix of the other. I mean, level 2 and level 4 are pretty much the same, except that level 4 got a roof
- The game could have used some more polish. It is pretty bare bones and it has no proper backround.
In total I think that the game itself is smart, but better level design and polish could have been used to improve the experience. But even then, great job with making a neat game!
Your game nails a nice core mechanic - having your clones retrace their steps (and letting you ride them backward!) feels clean. Quick to understand the mechanics of the game! I didn't experience any bugs, and there were some nice puzzles (some took a moment to get, but I loved them). A touch more polish would make the experience even greater.
really cool game, idk if its intended but i love how at the end of the clones loop, it goes back to the starting position so u can stand on the clone while its going back in order to scale heights. clean mechanics and puzzles that work, would have loved more levels. good job!
The main menu reminded me of the intro musikc of oxygen not included.
The core mechanic works like a charm. This game has potential with more puzzle elements and a bit more complicated levels. A better player feedback and a quick button to reset the level.
I didnt get any bugs. This game works like a charm
Whats missing
- You missed the oppertunity to create a puzzle in which 2 or more clones as to time a jump so the player can reach the end
- create some portals to port the player and your clones, or special portals just for clones. So you have to observe the movement and try to replicate it
- maybe at some points, create a few traps
Overall nice game good job.
Music is good and the main mechanic is solid. The only thing I wish was more consistent was the jump boost you got from riding on top of your clone. Overall well done you guys made something good here!!
Didn't play with headphones so no idea what the music is like, but I really like the concept! some more advanced art and more player feedback is probably what this game needs. But otherwise, great game!
Game concept felt pretty good, I liked how the clone would also reverse the sequence, rather than always starting from the beginning, unfortunately some puzzles felt pretty similar in the way you solved them. Would love to see how this game could adapt further though, there's potential!
Also, is Cloop meant to be 'clone' and 'loop' mashed together? Because if so I love the name too
Pretty fun game although I'm not sure if I solved any of the puzzles with the intended solution (if there is an intended solution). Would love to see some more puzzles fleshed out and really dive deep into this mechanic (obviously not enough time in a game jam). By the way, Thanks for playing my game!
I really liked the artwork in this game, the player animations were very cute. Also, I've seen some games use the idea of a ghost of the player past actions, but this might be my favourite version of it. It's really satisfying to use your past self to sort of launch your present self into the air. The puzzles weren't that hard, but they were still fun. Overall I really liked this game and had a ton of fun :D
Very neat! I like the added twist on being able to record from the other clone, that's a cool addition to the 'Past You does something to help Now You' basic idea! Very well executed, and good puzzles! Well done, you!
