The level selector reminded me of Contra Shattered Soldier. And you managed to make so many it 4 days! You work fast! The art style in general is VERY vibrant. Could maybe tone it down some. But gameplay was really nice. Great work!
Also I'd appreciate feedback on my submission if you get a chance!
Very cute game! Gameplay might be a little repetitive but the vibes are pristine. It's clearly leaning into being a relaxing and charming time sinker and it does very well at that. Maybe could've used some variety in how things are captured and how enemies are fought but I understand that might've been an unreasonable amount of polish. That being said, potential is huge and it feels like this could easily be a fantastic foundation for something much bigger.
Wow, it’s a big game! 😮 I really liked the artwork — it’s such a creative idea, and I truly felt like a space rancher!
Just one small piece of creative feedback:
Sometimes it was a bit frustrating to catch the enemy that can hit you, and the whip slash didn’t always connect as expected.
It wasn’t a big problem for me — I’m a tricky player 😄 — but it might be a little discouraging for others.
Overall: kudos to your team! It’s an awesome and ambitious adventure, and I really enjoyed playing it.
Really good work !
I loved how polished everything is, complete with animation right from the beginning. The number of levels is mind-numbing! Was a bit confused if the only goal was to complete the journal, but it's a minor issue.
Thank you so much! At the moment the only goal is to complete the journal as we ran out of time trying to add an ending of the player getting into the rocket, we're glad you enjoyed it and hope to update it soon after the rating period!
This game was so fun even at 3 fps (entirely thanks to my rubbish laptop) I love Norbit and I love Manly Bugs. Thank you for blessing this world with such a wonderful and whimsical game. Can't wait to play it again on not-a-potato-laptop
I love the wee critters, they are adorable and the noises as well. Special mention to the the environment absolutely beautiful little world
Would die for Norbit. Did die for Furious Trilos... several times T_T
fr though this was SO fun to play - I can't believe you did all of this in four days! I love the creatures, the art is adorable, I love the little bug noise. However, eventually my lasso stopped deploying and I couldn't work out how to fix it, so I had to stop playing. Idk if that was a glitch or not, but either way I thought I'd mention it. It's the only reason I stopped playing before finding a Legs Benedict!
We're glad you enjoyed it so much! Thank you so so much for the kind words, they mean the absolute world! The lasso bug is a known issue and can be fixed by leaving and re-entering the game! Don't worry about losing your progress either, the game saves where you left off so you can fill out your journal! :D (P.S. I hate the Trilos too, I've lost so many credits to dying to them xD)
Absolutely loved being a little bug cowboy. Norbit my beloved :)I wish to hug him.
I LOVE THE LITTOL BUGS! The star fella is my favourite :>
This is a very polished and large game for how little time was given in the jam. I love the creatures as well. I will say that some of the controls and goals of the game took a bit to figure out, but other than that it's one of my favorite games I've played from the jam!
Really cool game, i liked the gameplay and the use of an actual loop to capture the creatures. The maps arevery well done!
Very cool game, so many norbits, so many credits!
Accidentally double clicked a few things so the train menu was stuck there permanently but it was a fun littol game!!
Thank you! I cant believe I didn't catch that bug, that's so funny. recreated it instantly! thank you for letting us know about it. I hope you enjoyed!
Norbit is my son and I now have sixteen of him, had an excellent time 11/10
Damn fun game, loved it, many loops!
The game can be a little confusing, but I love the artstyle and the looping theme with the creatures you journal!
we totally missed some tutorial aspects but thank you so much for sticking with it :D we really appriciate the feedback <3
This game is so ambitious! Big fan of all the little critters they're very cute. I wish the game was a little faster paced but overall good job fitting so much content in!
Thank you so much for playing ! it was overscoped a bit but we had great devs that got so much working in such a short time :]
I managed to catch creatures with the lasso but I didn't know what to do with those to get credits. Once i got back to the train, I still got 0 credits and the creature disapeared.
ahh i see!! you have to take them up the ramp and then go back to the hub to get the money in your credits bank :] sorry for the confusion
I see thanks!!
