Very interesting fun game! I liked the creativity of using the screen limits to move around, the level design is very good too, great job!

Really cool idea to change the scale to go through borders. There is some kind of bug on the start menu where you can't see the start button before you fullscreen the game.  But after that I didn't really had any problems. Really cool idea and I had a blast. Nice game. :)

Developer

Thank you! Though I admit it's a bug, it does help to have it there because I think the game needs to be full screen to properly play it.

Really interesting and original game you have here !

I got really fun the level design i really nice really this is impressive well done !

I like the door mechanics you added to add diversity

Still, i did not understand when you zoom out why sometimes when youre going out of the screen to appear something else, sometimes it does, sometimes it does not, it felt pretty random to me

Also a bug on main menu, if you dont touch the fullscreen button you don't see the play button

Also i was searching for the jump on the space bar but it was the up arrox, maybe next time for plalatformer movement take the arow movement keys AND the WASD/ZQSD + Space for jump movement in account

Anyway the principe is really original and great you can really be proud of you :) !!

Thanks so much! I realize now that the control scheme wasn't the most optimal, but it was the one I'm most comfortable with after all my time playing hollow knight. Also, I apologize for the character going out of frame when he's outside the camera bounds, I had to make a quick decision for how to handle it, and I figured I'd just let him stay where he was rather than restart the level (which was my other solution at the time, and I felt was a little too punishing). Hope you had fun nonetheless!

This is a pretty fun idea and decent level design! Not quite sure why you went for an infinite jump instead of just having it be a top-down game, but that's not a deal-breaker. Would love to see this idea explored further in the future!

Developer

I'd like to say the main reason I did platformer was because I was borrowing certain mechanics from platformers I've played in the past and I was giving them a nod by making it a platformer, but more likely because I'm lazy and more familiar with platformers.  Thanks for the feedback!

The level design here really shined! Great launching pad and foundation for a really good puzzle game!

Developer

Thanks so much! I've found I really enjoy making levels for puzzle games.

cool i loved the game but if you intend to add more on this please make the character faster

Developer

Since I've had multiple people ask me this, I will.

I had fun with this! A few levels in I thought it was going to get boring and it was just sorta toggle zoom, see if you could screen wrap, and repeat — but then the complexity ramped up nicely!

The music and the visuals reminded me of Celeste's Mirror Temple, dunno if that was intentional, but it definitely set a mood haha!

My main suggestions would be to add a faint outline to indicate the zoom level so you can keep track of things a bit easier, reduce some of the visual noise of the background, and to make the character move faster. As adorable as the little fella is, I got places to be, switches to hit, and mazes to navigate!

I think that if you were to continue expanding on this idea, I'd like to see a way to adjust where the zoom happens. That would really add a lot of depth, but probably also make the level design very difficult lol.

Really well done, for how many levels there were for a game jam, I found myself going "aww..." when I reached the end because I wanted more 💙

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! Honestly, I actually want to expand further on the game and all the points you bring up would definitely help move it in the right direction. I had a lot of fun making the levels, so I'm glad they were enjoyable to play.

Great puzzle design, I had fun playing it. I struggled with the controls a bit, it would be great if you added those to the page description, I was stuck for a while until I figured out that you could double-jump.

It totally slipped my mind. Thanks so much for letting me know. I'll update the description immediately
