I really want to play this game, but every time I press start it freezes on one of these two frames before I get control. I'm playing on Windows 10. Any ideas? The art style looks really cool!
hi! i'm sorry you've run into this issue, the problem lies in the engine's video support. did you try restarting the game several times? if it doesn't work provide me with your email please, i'll sent you a copy of a game without the starting video. that problem never occured on my playtests, sorry.
alternatively you can go to \www\movies in the game folder and take away the x.webm file. when you open the game.exe you will go straight to the playing area. your character won't be seen for a few seconds, but then it will appear.
Cool art style. I had difficulty even following the walk through, but a good game!
Very distinct and charming visual style! It's a pretty cool choice that there's no music in the start of a game starring a burned out music teacher... makes perfect sense to me! I did have a little trouble figuring out where to go during some parts of the "chase" sequence but it's a surrealist game so I think losing some clarity on pathing for the sake of style is more than forgivable, and it didn't take too long to figure it out.
I'm very glad you liked it! yeah, I deffo wanted to have an element of surprise + really wanted to mess around with rpgmaker, to try out some wierd angles and such. and I'm glad you noticed the absence of music! it really only starts when bach gets to school, before that it's just silent/ambient. thanks for playing :3
I really had trouble selecting the elements I wanted to sometimes. And I was really stuck at times because I didn't know what I was supposed to do, but I guess figuring it out is part of the charm of this kind of game.
I wonder what will happen next. Great job!
yeah, you're supposed to move with arrows most of the time, point&click elements are quite exotic for the engine. figuring out stuff on your own pace is def a part of the charm, but thanks for the heads up! I think I'll make a little walkthrough just in case someone gets stuck.
I'm v glad you got to the end! thx for playing :3
Very cute, waiting for full game
