How does your game fit the theme?
Everything happens on a very tiny scale - in the quantum world. You are a very small deer, who is working on a quantum scale.

Very creative take on the theme. The subject of quantum mechanics, and choosing to visualize it with a deer is original and somehow very fitting.

In terms of game mechanics, i was a bit at a loss of what i was supposed to do with the qubits. Some more tutorialisation (for slow players like me) that introduces things more gradually might help that. I also died alot in the first level alone. Something you often see in tutorials of games, is when players get taught a new mechanic, they are tested by the game in a safe environment first, before testing them "for real" (such as having no enemies, or more room for error for the player). This lead to some frustration. Go easy on new players!

Despite this, i can see a lot of passion went into this, and there are alot of small touches in the details everywhere that show care. Nice work.

Thank you for the detailed feedback!
More tutorials make sense, but we were literally making them during the extra hour cause we forgot so :)

Ah yeah, i know the struggle! I've noticed, often the things you put in last minute turn out to not work as great. But sometimes they do. Gamedev is weird sometimes.

This was a cool idea for sure. The way the qubits were activated was an interesting mechanic. It was a little bit too difficult though, with enemies moving especially unpredictably and fast. Overall though, an interesting little game.

I liked the concept here! But like a couple others, I did have a bit of trouble getting started - once I realized I had to select the items at the beginning, the stealth game itself was fun and responsive. The sound when I collided with an enemy actually gave me a little jump-scare at first and that was entertaining LOL. Nice job :D

It's a bit hard to understand what's happening, but this is generally a well made stealth game!

Developer

Thanks for playing our game! Could you explain what exactly confused you?

Submitted(+2)

Sure! Firstly, there isn't really any indication that you're meant to select the items on the right at the start of the level, I didn't realise I had to do that to start with. Secondly, it's not explained that by "activate your new Qubits and tunnel through the walls" it means you need to place the Qubit in the scientist's vision in order to activate it. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to tell where the spotlights will move next, and as they move faster than the player they feel unfair at times.

HM that's fair. We played our game for so long we forgot the little things could be confusing. I added a note in the description of the game that can hopefully help some people.

As for the unpredictability of the Scientists, that was in purpose. You're meant to scope out the level and plan your actions before actually executing them. Or just keep trying until you know every path by heart lol (me in level 9)

Very difficult and the controls were confusing at first. Love the science take on the theme!

Interesting game concept.  Like the deer graphics!  had a hard time figuring out the controls to start

Difficult game, nice!
