Cool idea! Maybe a little too difficult to navigate
Really cool! Also, it's a little trippy, haha. I did find it really intuitive, but kind of easy once I figured out the gimmick, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I think this is a creative and solid jam entry!
You are right! once I got the hang on it, I didn't have to move the boxes that much to get through the levels haha. We are thinking about ways to improve this on future levels
Cool concept, had fun !
Thanks!
This is such a clever concept, the puzzles are fun to solve and it's really cool seeing the walls change as you move the cubes. Great work!
We are glad you enjoyed! :D
Nice job with this idea and great job with the 3d environment! I think on my end moving around felt like it moved around too quickly and I struggled controlling my character a bit. But great job overall! :)
Thank you for the feedback! :) You mean that about the main character?
Insanely creative, a 3d game (which has been pretty uncommon in this jam), and a very unique idea on top of that! Great work!
Thank you! We like to think of mechanics that we have not seen elsewhere. Although, this one was a challenging one, but it felt great when it finally worked haha
Hey! Your game is quite interesting and fresh.
I really liked the ambient music which made the game much more atmospheric. The puzzle mechanic is also unique and the combination of 2D/3D modes adds to the style of the game. The main character is also a nice touch :)
While I did understand the puzzle mechanic, I didn't have get a good intuition for how to go about solving the puzzles, and got stuck at the second level. I think having a couple first levels with short pillars on each corners for the 2d character to move on plus having checkpoints on the pillars would make it easier for the player to understand the puzzle mechanic better, and then apply it to more challenging levels.
In terms of nitpicks, I'd like a faster 2d character movement (although I understand this could break the current puzzles) and sound effects for 2d character jumping and picking/dropping the boxes.
But overall, it was a fun experience, and I think this idea has a lot of potential. Well done!
Glad you liked it! :)
Got it! I also think there should be a good tutorial, but I had to cut it off to submit the game on time :(
Thanks for the feedback!
I got the key, but I was really disappointed that there wasn't a congratulatory screen or anything like that. Haha!
The game has a good concept and an interesting puzzle idea. Maybe in the next levels, there could be special cubes that only project on certain walls or when they're turned a certain way.
However, please make the smaller character move faster. It's really frustrating to walk the whole level and then realize you misplaced a block, making the jump impossible, for tou to then walk the same way again.
Did you get to the third level? After you finish it, there is a little thanks for playing message, but I don't know if you noticed that the second room was different (I should also make that clearer in future versions).
Those are awesome ideas! We will think about them when adding new levels :)
Got it! We thought about leaving the character where it was so that you don't have to repeat the whole level, but it was too easy to just move the boxes in front of it. We will take that into account.
Yeah, I figured that the reason for second character to despawn is so that player wouldn't just cheese the whole level. But yeah, I've spent some time on a first level and thought that there's no more to play. I'll check the rest of the game later!
Very interesting idea! Took me a while to figure out what was happening though, a first simpler room with maybe texts explaining it would do a lot. And found a small bug, theres something invisible blocking the way in the last corner on the wall :)
Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I spent so much time doing the movement that I couldn't add some introduction haha
