A cute game! Though it was short, I think it really conveys the idea for a longer storytelling narrative around the core mechanic, e.g. restoring the ruins of a lost civilization.
:) Thanks!
The gameplay is definitely shorter than I would have liked, but I think the end result is a nice demo concept! The idea was to have the player explore and rebuild a much bigger environment (singing to different types of objects, repairing puzzles, etc). I am planning to continue work on this game later this year and develop this demo into a complete "short-story" narrative game!
This was great!
A cute concept that could be explored further, I think it would flesh out into a nice casual game. It's great to see the jam's theme approached in this way.
Thank you! :)
I am planning to expand this demo into a short-story game later this year, probably starting development in early November! (I need to finish my current main project before Halloween)
Nice take on the theme. I know that this type of games can be hard to pull off so great work
Really cool concept, especially with the theme. I really love the use of a musical scale and the story you created to go with it. Nice game.
Thank you!! I had a lot of fun during this game jam :)
Great use of the theme! Musical games can be difficult to design beyond rote pattern memorization, but the story telling added a nice touch here. The walking felt a bit slow, but I can understand if that wasn’t a priority. What was your thought process going for a 3D game?
Thank you! It was a difficult process to allow the player the freedom to input any note while still having it "sound good" with the background music and when the player inputs a specific sequence. The walk speed is slow but you can sprint if you hold Left Shift!
My thoughts for developing a 3D game were to try something a little different than the standard 2D platformer games that tend to show up a lot in these kind of game jams. I wanted to see if I could make something stable to play in 3D while still having the game be playable in the web browser (usually WebGL games in 3D have terrible performance and issues in my experience)
The storytelling is a nice touch. Not a music person myself and might not be the right person to review, but I enjoy the creative mechanic of using the music scale. Nice atmospheric music as well. Good job for a 48 hours game! :)
Thank you! :)
A short but unique concept. Singing a tune to interact with something is a mechanic I haven't seen a lot, and the story is also quite interesting.
Thanks! Yeah, its a mechanic I really loved from "Zelda: Ocarina of Time" back in the day, and I wanted to try to recreate it :)
I enjoyed this little game :) the character's facial expression was a bit of a shock but that truly added to the joy I felt. The sound is beautiful. Well done!
Kinda reminds me of Ocarina Of Time soundtrack-wise.
I was definitely going for Zelda OOT vibes when I was making the singing mechanic and music!! One of my favorite games for sure :)
Fun twist on the theme!
Thank you!
