I definitely like the twist on the dolly-zoom effect, where instead of the camera going in and out, the object becomes bigger and smaller. I'm curious if there would be a way to make "objects appearing the same size while growing and shrinking them" into more of a core mechanic. The danger is that without providing a reason for this kind of zooming, it could become tedious to repeatedly grow and shrink objects to solve the puzzles.

I love the limited color palette on this game it is perfect. I also like how the phone theme is incorporated into the UI and game as a whole, like in the level select! That's such a neat touch that puts this extra layer of polish on the game.

I like games like this, and idea with phone is really cool, didn't make all of lvls but enjoyed, good job!

Developer

Thanks, I tried my best not to make them too easy. I'll definitely check your game out! :)

The + and - signs do not work for me. It may not work on all keyboards, depending on the language. But it seemed very cool and enjoyable.

Developer

You can either use the keypad + and -, but I knew that may not work on all devices so you can also use the keyboard - and =, the equal sign key with the plus :)

This is a lot like Viewfinder and Superliminal and it's really impressive that you made this in a game jam period of time. Like some others said the controls are not ideal but it was interesting to play around with. Also the scaling effect could probably look really cool and seamless if given more work. For example if you had the phone cover the entire screen you wouldn't see the object scale in game and it would be really cool for the player to see that. Great job!

Thank you so much! Originally I was on the fence about having a horizontal camera (like an old video recorder), or a vertical phone camera, in the end, I decided on the latter, I'll be sure to explore that in the future! Also, I noticed the controls can be buggy so that's something I'll need to fix (after the jam). Thanks for your feedback! :)

Reminds me about superliminal. But motion blur completely destroys it:(

I thought this was a really fun concept to play around with, unfortunately the controls were a bit janky and I kept on spinning to the right for some reason so it was difficult to get far, I think with a bit more work into the controls and UI this would be a really good game :)

Developer

Yeah, controls could use more work. Also, what do you mean spinning to right? I've playtested on a couple devices but none of them had an issue with spinning, could you elaborate? Thanks for playing :)
