Great job on the prototype! The 2.5D art and size-changing mechanics are intriguing. With more level design and polish, this could be really special. Looking forward to seeing how it develops!
Nice prototype. The 3d platforms look real nice, 2.5 games a great. Polished up and expanded, it could be cool.
For a prototype this is good. I think you didn't put enough interesting gameplay into the level design to actually show your mechanics to be interesting. Please continue to improve your game dev skillz
Solid prototype. I really like the contrast of the 2d player sprite, and the 3d platforms. Gives the game a really unique feel that I think you could continue with as a deliberate design choice. The gameplay is obviously a prototype, but I think you should consider what kind of game you want to make. The button size changing could work very well for a puzzle game, but I'm not sure if that's the game you'd like to create. If you're set on leaning closer towards a platformer, try to think about how you can add more depths to the buttons. As of now you don't have to think much about using them because they're just in the path, but I think there are definitely some cool ways to make changing sizes an action that the player needs to think carefully about (maybe adding multiple paths that can only be traversed by certain sizes). Regardless, even just getting a game made in 2 days and posted is still super impressive! I hope you continue doing game dev, either with this concept, or trying something new!
Cool idea and implementation of the game mechanics.
The art is very surreal and you probably could've had some humor there by leaning into it.
Unfortunately the sound design is missing completely, and the way the levels are currently designed all you're really required to do is walk to the right.
Judging by when you've created your account i think this is your first game, meanwhile my first gamejam attempt resulted in a failed project that didn't work and i ended up not uploading anything.
Therefore, i think you did a good job! You should be proud.
Okay, I just finished it. I have to say, I can see the potential here. I like the idea that you have to change the size in order to fit through different spaces. This could lead to some really interesting level design. I also like the 2.5D aesthetic.
That being said, this is obviously only a prototype, and there are definitely a lot of things missing, like sound, more art, etc.
But this is a good start. I am interested to see where you are going from here. Good job!
The game feels like just a walking simulator, the buttons are just on the ground when the player needs them. I do like the art style of the game tho.
actually i can't finish the work cuz of some personal problem but I letter fix the level design and add some more exciting features
Good basis for a game around the theme of scaling :-)
You can try and keep working on the game to expand it.
In particular, what kind of level design can you think of to create interesting situations using your core mechanics?
Alright so... it was kind of short, which I guess for 2 days of work is normal. But I did enjoy it as a little expirience, there were some small bugs and the missmached sprites could do away with swapping. Plus it would be a nice touch to add a walking animation to the duck nothing complex maybe like 2/3 frames. But over all I enjoyed it.
Fun concept and cute duck.
