Simple but fun game. The controls were a little awkward, but after a bit of time I felt like it fit the theme of piloting a mech, but it would have been nice if attacking and menus were on a separate hand to make action more fluid.
Really feels like a mech which is good, felt like you were a big robot, feeling the sense of scale! Secondary weapon would've been good as a different button...I accidentally press CTRL+W and closed the tab, but nice work, fun overall!
Thank you for the comment! And yeah, I've learned that ctrl+w is a thing thanks to this game lol. I'll have to remember that for the future.
I liked the feel of the mech. The general game loop was decently fun. Not sure I really got the creative choice to make the enemies giant mushrooms, but it was a fun enough game overall! I will definitely look forward to any more of your games in the future.
Thank you for the comment! For the mushroom enemies, a friend of mine said they should just be giant mushrooms. I had planned for more thematically similar enemies, but didn't have the time to model and animate them all by myself. Next time though I'll do some better planning!
That makes sense. It was a good time and I think it has a lot of potential.
interesting idea and nice visuals. would have loved some music or sound effects
Thanks for the comment! I definitely had the time to add in some sound effects, but by the end of the jam, I was pretty tired and burnt out with just a few hours remaining that I decided not to spend the time scouring the internet for sound effects. I hope you understand!
