Wonderful! I found your game from you comic, and this is definitely one of the most well-polished games I've seen so far. The art looks great, the music sounds good, and the gameplay itself is engaging. The non-gameplay portions with the dialogue are also fantastic.

My critiques are pretty much all nitpicks, and could probably have been resolved had the time limit been longer than 48 hours.

It did feel like a lot of actions were missing audio feedback, but that's probably just because of the 48 hour time limit.

The length of the game is also a bit long for the amount of variety it has. This length would be fine if there was more variety in player abilities, enemies, etc., but as-is it kinda dragged on and should've been shortened to half or less as long.

But again, those are just nitpicks. You did excellent work!

Thank you for stopping by! its cool to see another dev outside of itch. in reference to the game though thanks for playing! I hope to make a post jam version of the game at some point with a shop for abilities and an expanded story and maybe a slight change of soundtrack lol. Also i'm sorry about the lack of sound feed back and fx, I had run out of time to make more than the song by the time i got to that point. there was so much more i wanted to add but just didn't have time to balance everything out. i also agree with you on the repetative ness but we didn't have time to balance things out properly gameplay wise. thanks again for  stopping by though!

cool reverso on the shoot ‘em up genre! it fucked my brain a lil bit at first (in a good way!), but once i got i found than the core loop w/ the “enemies” seemingly attacking each other while i (the player) tried to heal the ravage caused by war became entrancing and captivating. it’s an interesting concept. i find it fascinating to play this shoot ‘em up where you are some sort of “secondary character” in a organic world that plays itself, voluntary effect or not, it’s very cool. i would like to see a concept such as this one fleshed out in the feature, probably in a slightly more atmospheric direction.

tl;dr i liked it lol

thank you! I'm glad you liked it! I do hope to make a post jam version that's little more clear and with a bit more atmosphere (the music i made for this one was admitedly a bit rushed). but thank yo for playing!

What a beautiful game!! Really love the concept and story, fun to play though very difficult (more maybe I'm just bad) Would love to see a more developed version - Great work!

Love the aesthetic of this, very cool! The gameplay is nice, although it feels a bit too long and can start being a tad repetitive. Adding more enemy variety could help, I'd say.

thanks a billion for playing! ill keep that in mind though for a post jam version. we've had an idea to maybe add different seed types and enemies each time you return to  the tree

Very nice Art and Music, also make fun playing even though i havent been able to get over 10% its very hard

Well thank you for playing! I hope to release a post jam version with some better balancing, but the current version is still possible to beat.
