similar to Hades, this is a game where I sort of wanted to get hit so I could continue my conversation. delightful tone and an interesting take on the theme!

Loved the aesthetic, but the hitboxes traded a bit of the fun for frustration... So points for presentation and originality, but it could be more fun if it wasn't for unpredictable hitboxes. Work further on it after the jam and it can turn out to be a great game!

I really like the aesthetic and the dialogue between the post person and the letter writer. The sound design is really nice and calming. I think the theme is slightly obscured by there not being a recipient being controlled. I liked the dodging mechanics though and appreciated the dive button since it saved my tail a few times!

Pretty neat art style, story and concept. I loved how each time i died, i got a new conversation... for about 8 or 10 times... until i died over and over again. I couldn't finish it because the hitboxes are really unforgiving, and i assume the level is randomly generated, so that adds a layer of difficulty and unfairness... i might come back to finish it, but even if i couldn't finish it, i trust in its personality. Good job.

Thank you very much buddy! I'm glad to hear most of the elements worked out.

I do plan to go back and edit this submission once the ratings section of the jam is over.
I will quickly edit the hitboxes to make it more forgiving, as I noticed as well that the hitboxes being on the wings as well does not feel great for the player.

I will be sure to give your game a go when I have the time! :D

I thought they're ending up together :( But I love the aesthetics as well ^-^

Developer(+1)

Thank you! I did my best with the aesthetics. ;-;

Also, there is an ending for this game, you need to reach score 90, but I do plan to make it a bit easier once the ratings for this jam, as the hitboxes are not very fun to deal with.

I will be sure to give your game a go when I have the time! :D

Thank you so much!

Both I and the music producer are very proud of the work, so I'm glad you enjoyed it too!

negetives:

- dialoge more fun then bit unoriginal gamplay

- no exit button

- 1 direction walk cycle

- no ending in sight LOOKS like a endless flappy bird.

positives:

- evrything aside of the negatives

Thanks for the criticisms! I super appreciate them.

Just a heads up, there IS an ending, you need to reach score 90, but I do understand under the current version, it's fairly difficult to reach.

I plan to go back after the ratings of this jam to quickly fix the issues, potentially just tweaking the hitboxes and/or making the score to reach a bit lower than 90.
