hey cool
The art was really well done & I also liked that the game felt like it had lore, it took me a second to get the dash, but it felt really satisfying once I did. It was hard for me to get the jumps after killing with the samurai to land on the next enemy without dying, I'm guessing I needed to switch to ninja to do a dash, but I just couldn't get to the controllers in time to do that. It was fun trying to figure it out, tho. I enjoyed your take on the theme by having the characters linked & being interchangeable. I believe this is the first jam game I've played that has done this. Congrats on your game! If you could rate ours as well, we'd greatly appreciate it!
Your take on the theme looks interesting and really wanted to play it. But unfortunately I couldn't get past the first section, the part where game tells you "Z" to dash. I tried double jumping, but didn't work. Did I miss something?
Lovely graphics, and an excellent setup of tutorial text
I just couldn't work the controls, they felt super unresponsive and the colliders on the enemies felt way too big. Double jump wasn't properly explained, and I wish there was an indicator for when you are able to use the double jump. Neat idea, and great art, I just wish the movement and controls were given a little more care.
Concept and controls felt very nice. I liked how the pieces worked together though the visuals for the samurai always slashing forward throw me off at first.
While I had a fair bit of trouble juggling the three different special action (Jump, character action, and swap), I was able to finish the game. Might just be keyboard control usage causing me issues.
Had a lot of fun with this, thanks.
Very challenging!! I like the swap mechanic a lot, it seems you utilized it well.
