Really clean execution. A very well-polished and complete game. The visuals are consistent and smooth, and the music is just honey to my ears. My only gripe was having difficulty in identifying the shrines of a particular god and trying to remember what kinds of offerings they liked and what kind of effects they have when they are stronger or weaker. I wish there was a better way to convey that rather than having to interact with the text prompts next to each shrine and having to refer to the hints in between days. Great entry nonetheless, one of the better ones for sure!

Yeah maybe I should've made the shrine sprites themselves different for each god, I went for a small trinket next to the shrine body to represent the god and scriptures that say who the god is. I wonder though if I had removed the text prompts at the end of each day if that would've made the pressure of having to memorize things less.

There seems to be a lot going on! I was able to avoid starving, but I only found three of the shrines, so I couldn't please all of the gods. The choice of music was good, and suited the mood of the game and the pixel art aesthetic. I think the game could teach the player how to play in a more elegant way than needing to use hints to understand it. Having sound effects for the actions within the game would also be a good idea, adding to the level of polish and improving game feel. I enjoyed playing, thanks!
I think the code makes sure the four shrines show up in the world but the problem is there's no map or anything that shows you where you've been.. maybe i'll add it so it would be easier to find all the shrines ๐!
I could only come up with one thing to help the player, its that when Thoth is strong he would spawn more scriptures that tell you about each god.. I thought maybe the players would experiment with the sacrifices and see which has a positive effect and which has a negative effect on each god. I agree with you sound effects would've made it more immersive ๐!
