Really fun concept, it was fun playing this game though it was irritating to die continuously

Few suggestions:

  • Checkpoint system
  • Reducing hitbox on spikes
  • Restart option ( I had to kill myself intentionally to restart )

Really fun but really frustrating without checkpoints. Obviously, a tall order to implement in a game jam, so I get why they're not there, but still prevented me from being able to finish. Very cool concept though and otherwise well-executed, nice job!

Thank you so much, I'm trying to find the correct balance for the checkpoints, in order to not make the game too easy but also not too hard.

Maybe in the future I will add a difficulty selection. For now I'm glad that you liked the game.

Man this game is brutal. I couldn't stop playing even though i got so frustrated by each and every trap and having to read "you dead..." over and over again. I really liked the background music and the limited vision one had. What i could do without is the fast fall and instantly being able to move while going out of soul mode. These were the most frustrating deaths.

Also don't get me started with those spikes on the ceiling. That is fair game though as that could have been avoided by scouting a bit more carefully.

Honestly i don't know if i would have kept playing that long with checkpoints since i'd beat it faster, but since this reminds me of dark souls, how about a bonfire in the middle as a checkpoint? :D

In the end i beat it and i lost track of time, filled by my rage to master this game. So thank you for making this game.

Praise the sun!

Very interesting concept with lots of potential uses.

but i feel this version desperately needs some checkpoints. having to restart from the begining each time you die makes it really tidious and killed the fun for me.

Also maybe some nicer looking art and less iritaing jump sound :)
But time limitation is tricky i know.

Anyway, I had fun playing it but please... add checkpoints !!!

Developer

Thank you for playing my game;

yeah i know that checkpoints are necessesary in this game, but i hadn't enough time to add them, i'm constantly praticing in programming more efficently, and also in pixel art and making sfx.

I'm planning to add this things in the next days.
