The story is very surreal, in a good way. A single big boss fight is a cool concept.
At first, I don't understand how to defeat the dog but once I got the hang of it, it's really fun!

There was an Amiga game I played as a kid called "Weird Dreams" and the idea of your game reminds me so much of it. The game is quite difficult and despite all my efforts I was not able to defeat the big dog. For a first GDevelop game, very good. Better than mine was.

This is tough XD I don't know why but I kinda got Cuphead vibes. Interesting seeing a game for the jam that is just one big boss battle. Didn't really have time to beat it unfortunately :(

A couple of thinks I believe could improve the game: I think the player character is a little bit too sluggish, you might want to speed him up to smooth out the maneuverability.
The character is also pretty tall compared to his width, which made it pretty inconsistent too move out of the way, since you would have a bigger disadvantage when something tries to hit you from the side, compared to something trying to hit you from above (especially with the dog head laser thingy).
I also think that variable jumping would be great in this game's context.
Overall I had fun trying to beat it and it is a very creative interpretation of the theme. Keep on developing!
