How does your game match the theme?
The game matches the space theme because it passes in space. There are many elements that are space themed: a spaceship, aliens, asteroids etc. It also abides by the restrictions of the jam such as 160x144 resolution, 4 colours etc.

Good job finishing your 1st game jam. The highest score I got was 40.

Congrats on your submission!  I know with the limited palette, it's kind of hard to avoid, but I think maybe having the stars different color would have been easier to see the actual bullets coming at me, or perhaps having them move a lot slower.   I kept trying to dodge the stars at first then I realized that they were stars.

Fun! Found myself trying to beat my highscore a few times. I wish those bullets were a little easier to get between with the ship, but overall I enjoyed it. I found the tutorial was painless and was a nice addition.

Is there a specific JRE I need for this to work properly?  I tried installing JRE8 both 32 and 64bit.

It seems like the key is to download the jar, not the exe! The jar worked for me, albeit the game being stuck in the windowed resolution.

Whoops!! I didn't even see the jar file.  Thanks!
