Unfortunately I didn't have time to rate this last night as I planned. I liked it actually, but it was difficult. It would probably be easier to type the numbers instead and use the mouse to select the items and to move the view.
Certainly, this game is faaaaar from finished haha. We learned that sometimes an idea doesn't play out as well when it comes to actual gameplay so we will likely make adjustments as you suggested. Thank you for playing!
Great little game. I love the idea of standing against the big Multinationals. I tried over charging someone and he got annoyed, then I under charged him and he still got annoyed LOL.
I like the title screen, great pixel art, and the background ambience of the game.
Would be great to see this game more fleshed out with more things like someone from one of the big shops visits and tries to sabotage you and you have to catch him, the maybe you can sabotage his shop.
Has great potential. Well done.
Thank you for giving it a try! Yeah, we may actually continue working on this game. We want to add all sorts of gameplay elements (theft, inflation, etc.), and challenging the player further to find ways to keep their business afloat despite various hardships.
One of the lessons this game teaches you is that sometimes it is impossible to make someone happy LOL. Glad you got a taste of it.
Nice little game! I got a weird .NET error at the start but seems it worked OK. Took me a while to realize I could look around and see other items (reading the description helps ^^).
Glad you like it! This was very much a learning experience for me as I am brand new to game development. I got the .net error too but found when I closed the window the game would run just fine. Making games is hard but very rewarding! Thank you so much for giving it a try!
Honestly, if you are brand new, the game is pretty impressive. I would love to help with the error but don't have that much experience with Godot. But the engine is great, hope you enjoy it and you'll keep learning and making games. With experience, these weird bugs will stop happening. When I have a look at the code of my first game jam game, it's an infinite amount of facepalms, can't believe the mistakes I made and can't believe it somehow works :-D
Can't take credit for the coding end of things, that was all Skarltar. He has some experience with Godot but managed to write everything for the game within two days! I want to become an artist, and am in the process of learning Blender and Photoshop. I learned this jam that "baking" is a thing and that my mesh modifications and shaders don't just export into a game engine and look perfect like I expected lol.
Thank you so much for the kind words of encouragement! Happy to be a part of this community. :)
