I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, but I wasn't able to jump high enough to get over the obstacles or reach the power-ups. I tried both tapping and holding down the space bar. I wonder if this might be framerate related, because the game was also pretty jumpy for me. I don't know much about Godot, but I know in Unity, you sometimes have to adjust for the time in between frames to make sure character movement behaves the same regardless of the hardware the game is running on. I played in Chrome on a newer gaming PC with above average specs. Let me know if you want more information about my setup for debugging.

All of that said, I loved this concept! It really resonates with me and as a prototype, this is great. I would love to see how you develop it. :) I don't think it was working how you intended for me, although losing so fast did make it metaphorically resonant in a different way. lol Anyway, I see the potential here and kudos for a great idea!

Very cool game. Simple and effective - the sounds and music were nice as well! I have a small change you could make if you wanted to - I think that it would be cool if maybe every time you hit an obstacle as well as experience burnout, you switch to another dimension where the obstacles are the powerups and the powerups are obstacles. Idk if that makes sense but I thought it would be a cool addition to your game.

Ooh that's an awesome idea! I had a similar idea while making this game before deciding to simplify it. It had to do with having 2 dimensions each representing different hobbies/disciplines, and each would have powerups to increase the burnout bar for the other dimension. I really like your idea of making the dimensions kinda like mirrors of each other to make it more interesting. Maybe if I ever continue to add on to my game, I'll consider adding that as part of my game. Thank you for your suggestion, and playing my game! :D

I like the music and the sounds in the game, now my complain it that the music is way to loud and the game is a bit hard and the high score isn't showing let me send you a screenshot for that otherwise the game is good  because I went with the same concept of an endless and I will appreciate if you try out mine and rate it.

Thank you for playing my game and your feedback! I'll try to keep in mind the volume of the music next time, I usually have PC volume set to 2 so that was an oversight on my part ^^' The top score is displayed on the top right corner of the screen but I see it is a good idea to make that more noticeable. Thank you again for your comment!

This is a good arcade game to play, and reminds of chrome dinosaur game

Developer

Thank you so much for playing and your feedback! :) Maybe one day I can add in different obstacles to make the game more interesting like the dinosaur game
