Interresting concept but it's hard too follow what happening between the different screens.
Brave move to try implementing a strategy with an economy!
Thanks!
Thanks for the kind words. Seems we should have focused on UI more. Hope you enjoyed it! Will play and rate your game soon!
Yes, it's a big problem. Either create a good UI or make a game with a clear beginning and end that is enjoyable to play. But if it's a team effort, it's probably much easier.
The concept is really cool and a great use of the theme. I think that this game has a ton of potential to his that perfect combination of being simple enough to play around in and start learning, but complex enough to form interesting strategies and ways of playing, especially if you're looking to expand on it.
Unfortunately, I have to mimic what I see a few others saying; UI could use work, especially knowing how much buildings cost and in deploying your armies. In-game explanations of what buildings do would be nice as well, but you did put that info on the game page, which I think is totally fine for the sake of a jam with limited time.
Ultimately, I feel like this plays like the beginning of something that would massively benefit from expansion. There's so many interconnected pieces of this that there are lots of directions you could go, all of which could be pretty unique and cool! Whether you're planning on expanding it or not though, good work.
Appreciate the feedback, UI is definitely something to work on for sure.
Really glad you enjoyed our game or the potential of our game. Really appricate the feedback, helping us learn what we need to focus on next time. Thank you! Will play and rate your game soon!
I was not able to fully understand what was going on in your game. It feels like it could definitely be worked on, and made into an incredible game. It needs a lot more feed back at the moment. Like number flying up from the building letting you know how much money it is making. The cost of the build should be shown, and then maybe an animations of the cost floating down from your supply so we can see that it removed some stuff as well. I was not sure how to send troops. There is a good seed for a game idea. I hope you get to work on this because I think with some love and time it could be outstanding.
Ngl, very valid points here I totally agree, thanks for the feedback!
Heavily appreciate the constructive critisism. Ya, clicking on the troops and sending the amount definitely seems to be something that we needed to focus on more. I think I have an idea how fix it now so thank! I will look at your game soon! Directions would have helped quite a bit to.
The concept seems fascinating and it can be a very simple but fun strategy game, but i found the controls and instructions not very clear, not sure about the requirements for each building, what they will give me exactly, why i can or cant build them, what they do once they are built.
Ya I was thinking about that. I will try to place a tutorial the next time I build something. Maybe give some more clear UI. I am realizing now that putting gold on the houses would have helped a lot. Thanks for the feedback! I will look at yours soon!
Nice game, there are quite a few mechanics well intertwined.
Well done!
Thank you! I appreciate the kind words! Thanks! I will look at your game soon!
Love these type of games. Very unique concept you have going here. Agree with below comment that the UI could use a little bit of work to understand troops as well as visual clues showing army strength and such. But still a very good submission and hope you continue to work on this one.
Super thankful for the response and the reinforced feed back. I have put it on my notes and am thinking about ways to fix some of those issues. I will review your game as well. Appreciate it!
Nice, looks great! Really interesting idea with the different views of the villages and battlefields and managing to switch between them! Unfortunately deploying troops was a little cumbersome with typing in the amount of troops you want to send each time. Also a little difficult to grasp what exactly was going on with how many troops were at my disposal or how many I should send to fight off armies of which size.
Also: can confirm, the web build works great :)
Thanks for the feed back. I'll remember not to put in typing for micro managment games next time. Your right we probably should have had some resource ui for types of armies. Instead it just effected the pop count. I'll play yours now too! Thanks again for the feedback!
Thanks for the criticisms we appreciate you for testing our game! :)
i wanted to play this game but i am a mac user btw game looks good in the screenshot
Sorry about that, I will try to get wbgl up soon! Thanks for trying though!
Web now working!!
