I liked how it looked and the music worked really well on it.

The mouse had issues, it just dissapeared from my screen and then menu and dialogue was frustrating. I couldn't either get the game on fullscreen, even when I went to settings and set it up to my resolution, it still stayed windowed.

I think this game has potential though, needs polishing and especially these small bug fixes, but the idea was quite interesting.

I did have an issue in the start where I dropped from the "building" I think down here, and had to restart the whole game, couldn't get out anyway, I tried every "wall" corner and possiblity but nope :D

I'm sorry you had to get stuck! And thank you for the screenshot! I will patch that point to ensure nobody else gets stuck there. I'll also consider a "freeing" mechanic, after the jam is finished. And I'll make a fullscreen feature in the options, that should have been added when I added the resolution sizing. Thank you for the feedback!

I love the way the game looks, quite an interesting concept of exploration and survival, I like how the flashlight scares away enemies. There is a bug with an invisble cursor in the esc menu and in the dialog with AL (number buttons don't work either), but still good work, well done!

Developer(+1)

Thank you! The bug with the cursor lockstate in AL's is at the top of my list currently! I will be sure to correct it in the next version, thank you for the playing!

This has potential, I like the game and want to play more of it, but I only got to AL, because of two bugs I had while playtesting (on Windows):

1. When I press esc to open the menu i don't see my mouse cursor, which i think was supposed to be visible in the menu ui. And after I press esc again to close it, i can't control my character anymore.

2. The other bug is similar: The mouse cursor also doesn't show up when talking to AL, so it is really hard to click on any of the lines.

Other than that the game is really interesting and I would love to give it another go, so please let me know as soon as you fix the bugs.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback! I'll check over where the cursor is being locked and unlocked and try to debug that. I'm glad you enjoyed and I'll make sure to reply again when the new update comes out!

the strange world, bizarre visuals and the suffocating atmosphere were intriguing and made me think of games like planescape torment, the music was also a very good addition. i didn't really understand the gameplay loop, but aimlessly wandering around and being killed by goulish enemies in the end was already memorable.

Developer (1 edit)

Thank you kindman! I'll work on a more clear game loop, possibly an explanation video is in the works before I seal it. I'm extremely happy you enjoyed the game!

This felt like the start of something really great! Sadly I got stuck in the conversation with AL and his shop seemed necessary to advance in the game. Similar to the first comment, 1-8 keys didn't do anything for me. But, the lighting looks phenomenal and I like the top-down view. The music was cool too. It's really impressive work for just one person!

Let me know if there is a fix for that, I'll gladly replay this again!

Developer(+1)

Thank you!! I'm glad you liked the lighting! I was something I was having to tweak a lot :D! And I apologize for the misunderstanding! I should definitely get rid of the numbering for the dialogue options, you can click on the text, which is why it should free your mouse lock. I'll add a prompt on the dialogue area to click

For first it's really funny when i open options at win64 build and found message "Disabled for WebGL"! xD

I found some bugs. When i talk with AL, if i press "Escape" button to open menu, and press it again, to close, after end of the conversation i can't move, until i open and close escape menu again.

Second bug - flashlight don't work, if i have use it, when talk with AL.

Otherwise this game looks really interesting and atmosphere is cool! Tnak you!

Developer

Haha! Woops, I was trying to get it ready for WebGL and forgot to re-enable that xD

Thank you for the feedback! I'll make sure the flashlight and npc bugs get fixed ;-)

The idea is nice but the controls are funky. I wasn't aware that I can press E for picking up items. Also when I visiting the shop, I couldn't hold a conversation. I wasn't able to press 1 till 8 or I didn't know what to do.

The arrows on the ground are subtle, maybe the first arrow a bit bigger so the player knows what it needs to do ;-)

Developer

Thank you! There was an interact ui to press e but that tells me I should definitely up the contrast on it!!! I will definitely look into the bug with the shop, it's possible I didnt connect the correct index to each button. Thank you for the feedback! I'll be doing an update asap :)!

I'll also adjust some of the arrow sizes ;-)
