Great game!

Really loved the art, character model is AMAZING, really beautiful and easy to remember!

Interesting mechanic with making trampoline from that cute thingy that i was forced to slap to tears (feel really bad about it), and it creates a lot of possibilities for secrets, really felt sense of wonder while playing, and that's awesome feeling!

Clipped through ground on first level, places trampoline under myself and that's clipped me right into wall, also on my first walkthrough i completed first level without that mechanic, just jumped on that cute thingy and that's how i made it, and when i got on second level was stuck for a looong time because i didn't know that i could make them as trampolines, so maybe make that you can't complete that level without using that mechanic! (or maybe i just i didn't see that i made that creature trampoline)

Overall, nice music, sfx, art, style and gameplay, really love to see this game evolve, great mechanic and great opportunities to expand it!

Thanks for playing and I really appreciate your comment!

That's a very interesting bug you found in level 1.  I encountered it once where you could jump up the cliff without transmuting the shroom,  but I couldn't replicate it. My new approach is scrapping the 2D tile set for 3D ones and going with a capsule collider in lieu of a box for the character.  This should make the collision a little less finicky. I think the project is going to evolve more in a metroidvania direction, especially now that I'll have more time to think about things. I hope to add in all sorts of lore and secrets. :)

great SFXs, music, art style & story  but if you add a tutorial for the game it would be great

I could not beat level 2, even if I perched right at the edge I could not make the jump. I tried doing it all in 1 go where you don't stop at the high platform and just grab the essence as you go but that didn't work either. I tried placing the corpse closer to the edge but it didn't turn into the bounce platform. Other people mention getting to level 3 so I guess its just me but I tried at least half a dozen times and could not get the jump right.

Overall, I found the mix of art styles to be a little off-putting. Its clear that a lot of work went in to the characters and animations but the background art looks like it was done very low res then stretched, its pixelated but not in a intentional pixel-art looking way (not that that would have worked either for me)

Sweet and peaceful and although you're not the only one that chose a nature theme, it still makes a change from all the zombies and ghosts.

I think you were trying to reach the secret area of level 2. It's a hard jump to make . However to go to level 3, collect the second essence on the tall platform, and walk back to sunflower. I did not have enough time for level design, so I could have communicated better what the essence do and how many you needed to activate the sunflower to go to the next level.

I do intend to add more to this game and convert it to 2.5D . I'm not sure if it will bring everything together more cohesively, but it should add a little bit of flavor to environment. Thanks for playing!

The idea of making use of the enemy corpse is intriguing. Hope to see more of this
