The gameplay could need a bit of improvement. If I pressed a key it was often unclear if I would just skip the customer or not. They approach with one item then the bartering occurs on another one...
Instead of just entering a number it would be nice if there were a few options to chose from, like "+1", "+5", "+10", "+25%", "what the customer's asking"...
And if I haggled to the end the next customer(s) often would ask that amount and as their final offer.
Won/Game Over screen needs a quit option for a standalone build.
Hey nice game and concept. Keep at the gamedev! I reckon there's definitely a space for more comedy and quirkiness in fantasy games (ala Pratchett) as so many are just too serious.
Think I might re-read my old Discworld books once I get my library (and luggage) over to where I am at the moment :)
Thank you very much. Dungeonmans is roguelike fantasy game with lots of comedy if you like that sort of vibe. It's very well done. Happy I could inspire you to read!
Thanks for the suggestion! Looks like quite the wild roguelike :)
Wow, the visuals are really good!
Very nice gameplay as well, good job!
btw if you can play the game that I made and give me some feedback I really appreciate it :)
Really neat take on the theme, I like the whole pawn shop thing and think you could add on to it a lot. I played it tonight on my livestream and if you want to see the replay for the feedback you can check it out from this link
Thanks so much for playing it on your stream! I held off on adding a limit to the number of offers made because I couldn't figure a good way for players to intuitively figure out if an item was fake and I didn't want to punish them too much or make it too hard. Thank you for the feedback.
Rincewind… Where did I read that name? Pretty nice take on the theme, I appreciate you made your own art. Some audio would be great.
Rincewind is a wizard in Terry Pratchett's Discworld books. I chose the name because of his luck and you need a bit of luck when deciding to buy the items in the game. Thanks for noticing the name you've been the only one so far!
