bro... nice game bro!

A good pixelart complements this game with a clear design!

What's bothering is that the sphere's spawn position is not correctly centered so depending on where the character is turned, it can crash immediately against a wall (it can be seen clearly inside corridors, when going against the upper or lower wall). Also it's unclear what actually can break the sphere.

Options, and particularly the volume slider, would be a very nice addition

About the position of the sphere, I purposefully did that in order to make it more difficult to shoot through one end of a passage to another. And through game-play, I think it's pretty obvious that only the walls, and the enemies could break  the sphere (and the things that are left out, i.e. the player ,and enemy orbs, can't interact with the player's sphere).

Yeah, a settings option with a volume slider would be a really good addition, but I didn't think of it, and I would have been too lazy to add it :P.

Thanks for playing.

This is fantastic! The slow-mo attack feels awesome to use. The game has some great humour, and I love the text effects, they make the game so much more entertaining! It felt really nice, when the game told me I did a "pro gamer move" hahaha :D sound effects are good and the way you switch between the music pieces is great.
Very well done!

Hahaha, so you have defied the game huh :P.

Well, glad to hear that you enjoyed the game :).

I finally got to play this and really enjoyed it! It was reminiscent of some SNES games I used to play esp, the cut scenes with humorous dialog. the core mechanic was a great idea, and well executed. Critiques I'd have are mostly listed already and seem like the could affect your design choices anyway, because having everything freeze when you fire seems core to the experience, but I still found it challenging to fire quickly enough, navigate the projectile and evade enemies. I haven't played Cave Story but this makes me want to if it is so inspired.

Glad to hear that you enjoyed it :).

This was one of the most fun games I’ve played. Fast, fluid and hard. I don’t usually care for games that kill me a lot but I didn’t mind at all for this one. I got better after a while and had more fun!

The graphics and audio are spot on. If I had to criticize, maybe make the main menu as polished as the rest of the game? I’m kinda fishing for stuff to make it better haha. Proper fun!

Developer

Ahahaha, I was kind of struggling to make a nice looking UI with Krita, then I just quit and used the Godot's text animations and made something lol. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the game.

I’m no designer, I know the struggles haha. Keep up the good work!
