really interesting idea for balance, combining a mental health approach to balance with deck-building (chip-building?) elements. i enjoyed the visual and UI designs. when playing the game, i wasn't 100% sure how to add more positivity after the first shop/dilemma selection (maybe i needed to reverse the negative morals?). for a first game this was a strong start ^^ hope to see more if you decide to work on it!

Decent looking repo; For the open source category, you'll need to have a README file and License file.
Great looking game, love the sound effects and music. I wasn't sure where to "select" the chips from. It kept telling me to "select a chip or click on the board". I can click the board and get random chips, but I have no idea where I can select my positive chips from. It'd be cool if you can see your deck or "hand" on the side bar, maybe have it more like a card game where you draw a certain number of chips at the start, and then you can either draw more, select to place a random, or use from your hand so you have a little control over playing the game rather than randomly clicking around the board.
It's fun though and you have a great base for creating more games in future. Kudos.
Thanks! I actually never thought you would like my github repo, its a messy project š
Yeah, i thought of that idea as well. Clicking the board randomly and not knowing what chip you held is pretty frustrating. But i didnāt have time to add these features. Only an inventory preview when you are at the shop.
The core UI features are spot-on. Juicy and appealing. I wish every game felt this good in its basic interactions.
As far as the actual game, though, I didnāt really get it. Ended up just clicking on every cell without understanding why anything happens.
Yes a lot of random click as you said.
In the second level i finished the map with chips but it didn't end the level. After that is starting lowering my good morale. I don't know why.
Either way great job.
Congratulations to your first game! I really like the idea of a deckbuilding chip board game. I know you mentioned it in the description, but I would have preferred to have a bit more control over what I am doing while playing the chips. How it is now, the main decision to take is which chip you buy and then you just randomly click around on the board. Maybe if you get better at the game and build a deck with good combinations you can still have a bit more influence, as you then can hope to get the right chips at the right time.
I think this is a very good start for a cool board game, but might still need some tweaking.
I would recommend to try improving this game. Going with a game through the whole cycle of creating, polishing and updating it is a good learning experience. I also have the tendency to jump directly in the next exciting project, but then you never learn the skill of actually finishing a game. New projects are always fun at the beginning, but at some point you need to push yourself also through the hard parts of finishing a game. As I can see some potential in your game, I think it would be worth to improve it.
Music was good, but that was a lot of clicking... wasn't quite sure how would I balance the negative though.
That music is very calming and suits the idea of your game. I really liked the game juice you added--when clicking things it felt good.
