Nice work with the base mechanics!the concept is really nice but without some art, sound and some obstacles that ll spice up the experience is kind of dull.

Developer(+1)

thank you for the positive feedback and criticism I definitely should've taken more time polishing it up before submission next time I'll use the full alloted time frame instead of rushing to submit 🙏

You have a License file which is great, but you'll need a README as well (these are two main criteria for open source category).

Physics is cool, great concept, add some music and sound effects for more immersion.

Developer(+1)

readme has been added cant believe i forgot that duh! thank you for the feedback will be sure to work on that

README looks great, love the emojis, you can always spice up up further with screenshots, or gifs of your game.

Interesting idea, the game lacks substance tho, and may be confusing in the first few mins of playing.

Developer

yeah, I wish I had taken more time to work on it before submission has some things go down during the jam timeframe that sadly prevented more refining, but I didn't want to not submit next submission will be more polished and so will this game for the future thank you for playing and for the feedback much appreciate the suggestions

It needs some danger or randomness. As is, you can just start the game and step out for a cuppa, and set the All Time World Record (which I did: 7:50, wooooo!)

Developer

agreed i will definitely make more adjustments for the future with this game thank you for playing and for the feedback its my first time in a jam so all the comments are super appreciated

I like the core idea! Would be great to see more mechanics added like some way to disrupt the player to drop the boxes to really bring out the balance concept. Other than that great job!

Developer

thank you so much im glad the basic mechanics are at least a good starting point i am going to expand on the idea maybe make some new blocks fall from the top of the screen and stuff, this project was alot of fun for the jam i will definitely be doing more in the future, again thank you for the feedback!

Not a bad idea, but there aren't really any mechanics to make use of it.
In most cases, the tower is already standing just fine at the start and doesn’t need any input.

Developer

thank you for the feedback I was hoping to refine it more I tried to make the code spawn the blocks in an offset position probably should've spent more time on it. For a first time game jam I was happy enough to have functionality as far as it did, still learning only been learning for a bit 6 months now next time I'll do much better 😀

think you could do something like this: you start with a couple of cubes, but every so often, another cube drops in a random part of the field, and you have to catch it.
Eventually, the tower will grow, and the player won’t be able to ignore the mechanic.

In any case, good luck with your future projects!

Developer

ah that's what I was missing i should've had one fall from the top you had to catch thank you! Next time imma keep at it i do enjoy programming
