Ayy, solid foundation here, buddy! The movement’s a bit on the wobbly side, like my character’s walking through syrup 😅—but the visuals and ideas are cooking! With tighter controls and a splash of music, this could really pop. Keep it rollin’! 🎮🔥
If you get a chance, would love for you to check out my games too and leave a rating. I got 2 in the jam, buddy—appreciate it, and good luck! 🙌
I love that you have a README and License file (main criteria for open source category). Well complete and structured README. Nice job.
The "Play" and text buttons on the home screen are super hard to use. It's thin white on light grey textured. Game is slightly glitchy with the movement, hard to run around and sometimes gets stuck in the "jump" action. I feel like getting in the fire should almost be instant death if you can't jump out... I was just watching my character slowly die in the fire... was sad, except that I didn't actually die. The health bar was depleted and red "5"s were coming out of the character, but still wasn't dying. Kinda good, but then had to restart the game rather than watch him burn but die 😅.
Graphics are good, Sound effects are great. Add some music to make this a little more immersive, and take some time to focus on getting the movement and controls of the character really good. You can start with the first level being a little easier too so the player gets the hang of controls and can understand the physics before continuing.
Good solid base for your game. Nice work.
If there’s just one thing to work on, focus on the hero’s movement. Really sluggish when he starts walking, and that gets annoying.
Nice idea. the concept is pretty cool. But movement feels really bad and unresponsive, which makes the game annoying to play. Visuals could also use some work.
Vey good character design! and a nice set of ideas! for me the unreliable movement of the character was a bit too much, maybe try to make the basic movement more crisp and responsive. Good job!
nice game with an interesting theme
nice game with an interesting theme
I’m unsure how this fits the theme but it’s a unique concept spawning clones of yourself using energy. I felt the movement was a bit slow but other than that, interesting game well done!
You must BALANCE the use of energy to pass the levels.
Loving this aesthetic! And wow, what a dynamic game! The shooting-projectile mechanism felt super satisfying and responsive. Very fun to play.
Great work.
Cool concept balancing movement and attack! I would have liked the movement to be a bit more crisp, and i got stuck at the second energy-sucking ball (if that makes sense?), but nice entry.
Hey, kind of a spoiler but you can escape it if you act quick enough and slide before it can drain all your energy and if it still doesn't work can always restart the game by going to menu.
