This is a great concept for an educational based learning game! I loved the images, and it became a sub-game for me to exploring all the different possible dates haha

I also got better at remembering the dates as I played the game a couple of times, which means I must be learning! :-D

Nice  game, and great utilization of the theme, well done!

Developer

Thank you for exploring and enjoying my game. In my github page, I mention how to increase the content for this game dynamically.

I have provided a excel sheet, where you can enter custom events along with their dates and start teaching/ learning for different eras or periods of history. In the readme are the steps to run the game and how to add more data : https://github.com/praveenax/Chrono-Quest

Just copying the steps here to create some visibility for this feature:

Data Entry for more historical events

One thing I was concerned was how to add more events to the game. There is a file named readExcel.js. Its a nodejs script to read from Book.xlsx file and will printout the JSON required for the game to utilise.

  1. Populate Book.xlsx file with more or different events
  2. Run "node readExcel.js" to get the json in the terminal.
  3. Copy the json into cards.json which is inside src.
  4. Test the application to reflect the new data in the game.

I really like the concept and the presentation.

This is a good concept and nice take on the theme. Thankfully you made it playable even to someone not knowledgeable in history. The date and time period reveal at the end of round is really helpful.

I like your implementation of the theme.
I’m not that good on remembering dates though.
