i found controls to be a bit not intuitive, would have been good to explain it a bit more beyond "Long click your unit and release to send it flying" :) cool application of NEAR though!
Thanks for playing. Right, the instructions aren’t very clear. I could have elaborated on it a bit more in the description. Having short text with images/animations in the game itself would be optimal.
Very funny, we won 8-2!
I'd love to have the ability to play against someone else so we can both play locally!
Thanks for playing, and thanks for the comment. Yes, that’s something I want to add post-jam. Maybe one kan use the keyboard and one can use the mouse.
Hmm, tried, playing but got a full screen error about wallet.testnet.near.org failing to connect. Hitting Back brought me to a "AccessDeniedAccess denied.Anonymous caller does not have storage.objects.get access to the Google Cloud Storage object." message.
Login doesn’t work on itch.io, you’d have to access the link hosted on https://clash-of-cuisine.4everland.app to login. Story mode (the second button) should still work. Please let me know if that button also doesn’t work.
Oh, hah, I thought "Story" was a button to view a wall of text, not a different game mode ^_^. Yup, that button worked fine =).
That was fun! The AI really often failed to hit the ball, or hit the ball back towards their own goal... which made it exactly as effective as I was, which was fun to play against =). Controls were very simple, but easy to figure out, and challenging to master. I did win 4-0, so maybe a slightly more effective opponent would have been good, but every goal I got was pretty hard-earned, so it did feel pretty good.
This was pretty fun to play. The computer wasn't that good at scoring points, so it made me feel like this game would make a great online multiplayer game, although that's beyond the scope of the jam.
Thanks for playing and the feedback. Better AI, and at least local multiplayer is something I want to add post-jam. Online multiplayer would be even cooler. It requires a lot more work, but definetely something I want to consider.
Only got three points in my first game, but at least there were no own-goals. Next game I started to utilize opponents as cue balls. Soon, no one will be able to stop Martian #17.
Thanks for playing. Maybe a better AI can make the game more fun, and maybe even beat the unstoppable Martian #17.
