thanks Waldigames. It certainly was hard to play. =-)
I would have liked to have left it balanced. But with little time, I decided to err toward making it challenging. It's actually procedurally generated so you could get some easier runs. Anyway, glad you played and enjoyed!
Amazing game for the given time frame! The art and everything looks amazing and the amount of features was insane !
My problem was that you chuck the player straight in which can be good however it was pretty confusing so maybe either easing them in or making a tutorial could really help the game.
Also I do not know if I was just bad but the shooting seemed really odd and I couldn't quite grasp how it actually worked and hence the game was even harder with no tutorial and weird shooting.
Thanks OllieScott! You're right, a tutorial would have been nice. Alas, given the timeframe, I couldn't pull that off.
You're also right about the shooting. The reticle should have been replaced with something else. It makes you think that if you're going to click in that direction, you should fire in that direction; but the truth is, he always shoots straight ahead of him. Originally, I made the squirrel a turret, but it was really weird to turn his head completely around. Even if I limited his angle, it was still weird that you could freely put the mouse wherever you wanted yet he could still only fire in front of him. So maybe I need to rethink using the mouse at all. I just liked the feeling of the Lt-Click = FIRE, rt-click = HEAL, both at your fingertips. It brought home the point for me that you're making a distinct choice how you're spending your nuts.
Anyway, thanks for playing, OllieScott! And I should also say: Congrats on winning 2nd place in the contest! I actually considered making a Reigns-style game. Fits into the theme well. =-)
Just Wow! That was nuts! I had fun playing. I have to get used to the shooting. It seemed I would shoot forward and not necessarily the direction of the reticle. I did pretty good, but then all the predators found me. Great job!
Thanks Alex! Yes, the shooting was clearly challenging for everyone. Its simply because of the choice of a reticle, making you think you should be firing in that direction as opposed to straight in front of you. Lesson = learned. =-)

Very Funny Idea.
It was hard to play but also a lot of fun ;)

But overall amazing work from you people!

Glad you enjoyed playing!
What have I played...
I haven'T been able to ... shit anything, but it gave me a good laught!
Good creativity!
It's definitely in insanity mode by default. But don't let the aim reticle fool you, you shoot where you're facing!
thanks for playing, Mick. Hope you give it another whirl! =-)
Ahah yes! I saw that i was shooting from my face, but still really hard to touch.
Also I was thinking to climb trees to get ammunition... Well clipping through told me it was not the solution!
I might add climbing trees in the next iteration (if there is one). I have ideas for expanding this for sure.
