Fun little maze game, I like procedural generation although it was not clear to me the rotation of every room was part of the mechanics, I just rushed through the maze to find the runes and leave. Well, maybe "rushed" is not the word, yes, the movement feels a bit clunky. Really liked the music and how it evolves (when you get every rune?) Nice game, congrats
I like mazes! :D And I'd tried to draw the map on paper as I was progressing but I may be doing something wrong, I never found anything but empty rooms., and eventually I always got teleported back :( Honestly, the one major thing that kept me from trying was the movement. I don't think the physics-like force movement is very applicable on this type of game, and since movement was stopped between rooms, every room felt a bit slow-started and it broke the flow as soon as a room was entered. I'd say that making the movement more responsive and fast would add extremely much value to this game! :)
I liked the audio, it was cozy and it felt like all audio-things fitted together neatly. :)
From reading the description, I get what you were going for. The problem is, if all the rooms feel same-y, I don't really get that engaged with the game. I just kind of walked around for 2-3 minutes and found everything by accident. The movement feels kind of odd too, which is noticeable when there isn't much else to interact with. The game feels like it's missing some kind of core mechanic to play with, but I'm not sure what that might be.
Thank you very much for playing the game. Yes, I think the lack of interaction is a huge problem, there is not any kind of reinforcement to connect with the player throughout the game. Thank you for the feedback!
The movement and screen transitions were wonky, but it was otherwise fun to play. I did kinda feel like the maze was looping, though... might want to check the algorithm and maybe give the player more visual cues as to keep them from getting lost. Some extra mechanics to spice it up would also be fun!
Thank you very much for the feedback. I totally agree with the wonkiness between the transitions and will find other ways to do better in the future. I will try to finish up my algorithm on my own time(was running out of time so I learned one from youtube XD). Again thank you very much for playing the game and giving feedback!
