Can we get increased git-lfs quotas for the game jam?

I like to use git-lfs for images, fbx, and engine specific files (e.g. .uasset in unreal engine) and I believe that git-lfs is commonly used in game dev. Github's free plan has fairly limited lfs storage (https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/working-with-files/managing-large-files/...). 1GB total storage, including commit history. If my game has 100MB of LFS files I would only be able to commit 10 times before hitting the limit.

Are we able to get a promo code or something to increase the storage limit for the game jam?

Jam Host

Hi there - I would recommend leaving the larger assets for now if you foresee problems with LFS - and just make a note in the README. If you run into problems towards the end of the jam submitting though, feel free to shoot me an email and I'll see what I can do. [ $myFirstname@github.com ]
