I really enjoyed the art! I will say with the time limit it felt more like an action game than a puzzle, I don't have anyone to play the multiplayer maps with, but that's crazy you got all that done in time!

Thank you for playing! I'm not experienced at making pixel art, but it was a challenge to make those fruit sprites and animate them. Most of the core of the game I got done by around half way through the month, so I was trying to think about how to make it more interesting, so I decided to add the multiplayer modes. They ended up being a lot more work than I thought they would be and it doesn't seem like most people can play them, so I'm not sure if it was worth the time, but it was still a good experience to make it.

Fun little game. like you said in another comment tweaking the difficulty is the main thing really as i felt half the maps weren't even being reached because of the time limit. still fun though and the sounds were simple enough to not be annoying. good job.

Hi. Thanks for playing! Yeah I should have stuck to a 1 player game or maybe 2 player game and really tuned the level size and difficulty to those. But I saw the full month and thought, "adding 3 and 4 player maps and modes won't be any extra work, so might as well add them too". Classic scope creep. But now that it's over I can go back and try to tune the levels and difficulty.

A lot more fun than I was expecting, to be honest. There's a surprising amount of nuance with getting higher scores from creating longer chains or cross-chains, while having to do it quickly before the screen fills with too much fruit. I kept evolving my strategy as I realized how much I could do, and it got pretty tense after some time. And there's multiplayer on top of that? Heck yeah! I wish there was a little more in the audio department, but that's about my only problem.

Thank you for playing. I can't take credit for all of the nuanced game design as the basic concept was based on an NES game called Krazy Kreatures. That game was basically forgotten about though so I decided to make my take on it. I thought adding multiplayer would be cool, although I'm not sure if anyone will play those modes lol. I'm definitely going to add in some music for the stages and some better sound effects soon.

This gets challenging fast, or maybe I'm just bad lol. Regardless I love the design and think this makes for an excellent puzzle game.

Thank you for playing. Yeah tuning the difficulty with this one is a challenge. It's one of the areas I'll need to work on if I update it.

Fun little puzzle game!  Wish I had some friends over here to try the multiplayer.

Developer

Thank you! If you ever try the multiplayer, I'd be interested to hear how you all like it.
