Very nice, soothing game. A lot of nice effects, filters, particles and visuals. I need to go back to the basics and learn how to my graphics look like this. Sounds perfectly match the environment and atmosphere - I could sleep with this game ambient sound on ;-). Great controls - even though I am not a fan of first person view, I didn't have any problems with that. The only thing that could be more original is the name ;-)

Thank you very much. I appreciate all of your comments and I am pleased that you totally got the vibe of the game. I'm pleased that the controls were good for you too. That's great.

You have made a visually stunning game with a nice story and controls that felt great! I love the environment (how the heck did you achieve such an amazing sky??? I was literally taken back by it and spent a good minute staring at it). All in all, great job! I loved it!

Thank you Jade! I appreciate your comments. With the sky I wanted to try and make a kind of Aurora Borealis. I had fun with the environment. Glad that you enjoyed playing!

This is such a gem! The atmosphere through visual and sound design is so good. Such a serene experience. Even little waterdrop sounds when floating through an underpass. I really loved this. The level design is great and really shows off the environment. I was only able to find 19 orbs, though and couldn't find the 20th even when hitting restart, so I never got to see the 2nd level. I also thought that the collection radius for the orbs could be a bit bigger. Gypynkt's idea of them flying towards the player is also great. On some occasions I got pushed off of an icefloat and drowned, I think something with the collision boxes might be the issue. And I found 1 typo in the text box for the ice floats, I think. "Careful" had a character missing. Other than these very minor things, this is an extremely polished entry to the game jam! Really really good!

Thank you for playing MrSupertash and thank you for your kind comments. I am glad that you enjoyed the serenity of the game. Hopefully it is a relaxing experience for all who play. Sorry that there was one elusive ice orb. That's a real shame. maybe you will give it another go at some point. Thank you for your feedback. Since yesterday I have made over a dozen fixes and changes, including the floating platforms and the orb collection radius, so thank you for pointing those out. And thanks for the heads up on the typo...I should not have missed that. I will be updating to a new version with numerous new changes and fixes after the jam games have been viewed. Many thanks again for checking the game out!

A sweet story, the atmosphere and visuals are great, and I really like the verticality in the level design. And I did not expect that second level, that was a nice surprise. Also nice that the collectibles are actually useful there. A suggestion I had for the 'helping light orbs': If they flew from the player to their position once the player comes into a certain area or distance of the orb position I think it could add to the feeling of guidance while still needing to explore the level.

A last thing to mention is that the music was really suited and gave a great feeling. Very good submission!

Thank you so much. I am really glad that you enjoyed playing the game and completed it.

Thank you for your suggestion, I love the idea of the orbs finding their place in the whale's graveyard level. I will try and create a cut-scene animation to illustrate your idea. I think it will work perfectly. Thank you for that.

Your games always look very pretty and your level design is great! When the ice chunk broke, I was invested. "Cool" game dude! :)

Ha ha....thanks Derek! That's very kind of you. I am glad that you helped to return the penguin back home!

Very nice atmosphere!  The cursor disappears on the pause menu, though.  I also had trouble finding my directions, and would end up going backward sometimes.  Maybe colored lighting that changes as you progress would help the player orient themselves better?

Developer

Thank you and thank you for playing. Yes, as soon as the game has been viewed for the jam I will be updating with a patch for the menu and a couple of environmental changes.
