Nice, cute looking game. :)
The "ladders" are a bit weird though. As you can get hit by spikes while climbing up. And you can't really adjust the exact spot you are climbing easily.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll try and fix that post-jam. tysm for hosting this jam!

I love the player sprite. But the difficulty was really high for me and I wasn't able to finish the game. Bumping into the platforms above me and all of the leaps of faith were too much for me.

The atonal, chaotic music is very apocalyptic - which was fun at first, but then it got very hard on the ears.

I was playing on GBC and the shades of green that are used are very dark - it's actually not a very high contrast with the black background. You may want to tweak your color palettes for ease of visibility.

Thanks for your feedback!

I like it. Good sprite. Gravity of gbstudio platformer is a little too hard for me.

Developer

Yeah, I didn't figure out how to alter them until it was too late I'll fix it post jam. thx for the feedback!

A little tough at times with the close spikes and leaps of faith, but I often enjoy platformers on the more challenging side and the instant respawn instead of lives made this very enjoyable!

I got to the boss but was unsure what I was supposed to do? The best I could figure out was just to survive and dodge the falling rocks, but I would always die eventually before anything happened :P

Also, I thought that the main character's sprite was very cute!

Thank you, yes for the boss you have to dodge the rocks for 30 seconds until the rock lord gives up. I'll add a progress bar post-jam. thanks for your feedback!

Nice looking game! I love the character and background graphics - very beautiful. And there's a cool story. The controls are a bit wonky (slow but high jump, slippery), and the margins of error are narrow, which makes the game very hard unfortunately. It may be just me, but I can't even get past level 2, sorry to say.

Developer

Yeah, sorry abt that. I didn't realize I could alter the gbstudio physics until it was too late. I'm going to fix it post jam. Thanks for the feedback!

Cool, will check it out by then!

I really like the tile sets and character! I’m not much of a speed runner but I tried my best! Thanks for sharing your game I had fun playing it!

Developer

thank you!

A little unforgiving but fun! I like the story that you framed for it

Developer

Thanks! Yeah, I didn't realize until after I submitted that I could reduce the "sliding" effect. I'll change it post-jam

I liked the game a lot, I think you didn't have time to implement collision sounds with the enemies, and for me it lacks a timer, or indications to see where we are during the boss (which by the way is excellent! It took me 5/6 times to beat him, with a good level of stress : D ).

Developer

Thanks for the feedback! I actually had originally incorperated a timer, but for some reason, when I was testing the game, it seemed to cause a large amount of lag. I'll try and add a progress bar or something post-jam

Developer

I love your game btw, i liked how inclusive the blind mode was
