for sure :D

The pause button keeps it at the song it was on when you hit pause but the stop put resets it to the first song in the queue

thanks Max! That’s true I will try to tweak it to go faster and see how it feels

No worries! Enjoy the jam!

Heyo! I would be interested in talking some more about your idea, I’m a pixel artist. Do you use discord? I could potentially do a bit of level design also cause I’m familiar with ldtk but would mostly be interested in doing pixel art.

If you made art with this tool please share it in a comment!

wow! I loved to see you play the game!  your reactions were the best! ^_^

that's a big compliment! that's how I feel about Wink, thanks Max! :D

thank you!!!

there's nothin' like buttered toast with some jam :D

fun concept! and great audio design. My two cents, I love sheep they are so cute it would bring the game experience up for me if I could see the cute lil sheeps as I care for them. Maybe in a post jame update they could be made big and foofy

this is great! now I want ramen tho lol

There is a lot to love about the game, in a post jam update an Idea that I think could balance the difficulty a bit:

What if, instead of getting money based on having the right ingredients and failing outright if you don't .

What if instead each bowl of ramen is scored from 1-3 based on how many ingredients you correctly put into the bowl and then your final score of each round is compared against certain bench marks or "customer reviews" and based on that you are given the money to buy the right ingredients.

Say if you got 5 out of 5 bowls correct you got 5 star reviews which gave you more money

but if you got 3/5 bowls right you got less.

Just a small idea but either way I really enjoyed the game!

Really cute, there was a lot to love about the game, I'd like to see more someday

don't forget your butter and jam!

heyo!! I love that ^_^ I collect sayings and fun words so I'm going to save that one for sure

haha that was us making the game also! :D

yes!! I was thinking how can I document the adventure in a natural but fun way? a poem and a small stream of photos. I almost including the sign at mcdonalds that said McHiring lol

thanks so much Michael! :D

I didn't even know montage mode was a thing!!! lovely photos Eric!

thank you so much for your kind words! I definitely tried to tell as sincere of a story as I could!

so good! forget bluetooth in the car, I want game boy cartridge compatibility

So excited for this! You all are the best for making this happen!!!

These are excellent suggestions, thank you!

howdy! For this game jam I am mostly looking to take on an art director / artist role for a family friendly project. I would like to work on a project that the little people in my family could play also. Meaning a game with no violence, sexual or scary aspects. I would have enough free time to realistically craft a handful of characters, animations and backgrounds. I can double as a writer if need be. I may even have an idea ready.

Here are some samples of my style from other projects I have worked on:

a cat & his boy (Game Boy / Nintendo Switch / Steam)
Polar Peril (Game Boy Color)

If you feel like my art style matches your vision please send me some samples of your work! thanks!

oh sweet!! Thank you so much for playing my game :D

YES!!! please do! We need more Game Boy games... Especially if they are puzzle games! ^_^

Thanks! The music really helped with the immersion!!

Thanks much for playing! If you press start you can reset any stage. Hope that helps 🤠
