totally captured the feel of a sunset on the lake! real mix of calm & relaxation with just a hint of melancholy, as though it's one of the last days of summer.
the strums on the guitar chords hit really nicely and are very satisfying, the guitar solo is very nice too.
I agree with gullo in that I don't think you really need much variation or a shift in mood as the track feels like a nice self-contained piece but maybe a little drum break before the solos or just something to very subtly break up the repetition might elevate the track that much more.
Thanks for the great advice! I’ll definitely keep this in consideration!
I think that from the perspective of someone playing guitar by the lake, it fits perfectly. The guitar is the main focus, the rest is supporting it - the guitar part is really good, so it all works well. I think one small thing you can add is some sort of deviation from the main pattern. The backbone of the track remains pretty much the same. Even just a 1-2 bars break (drumless, or with nothing but lead guitar) could be enough to re-ignite the spark after a few minutes of the song going on
I’ll definitely keep that in consideration next time I produce!
A song that makes us feel like sitting down during sunset next to a body of water (river, pond, lake) with a few close friends, to read and enjoy some music mixing up with the sound of nature, without words or talking. The contrasting bits and chords remind me of the way Kazumi Totaka (animal crossing) composes and use contrast in their music.
Yeah! I thought adding some contrasting chords/melodies would make it seem a little more bittersweet! I wanted it to also make it more interesting to listen to.
This music represents so well the atmosphere of a break near a stretch of water, why not go fishing or sit on a bench to regain strength. The atmosphere is very positive, and even if some dissonances surprise by their presence, the whole remains as accessible to listen to as it is effective in its role as sound clothing.
Thank you! I’m glad to see that some are able to see my vision for it!
I like the overall chilling vibe this has. Maybe some variation in the drums could make it a bit more "lively". It sounds well mixed to me. nice one! :)
Thanks for the input! I’m always looking to improve!
