Thanks for the submission.

The oxygen bar is too fast. Barely got away from the window before i died

Developer

you can view the order at any time, you don’t need to wait for the customer to finish speaking

Excellent. Thanks brother.

Loved the drive thru patron speaking to me.  Very creative.  I really wish it had some mouse controls, but I totally get keeping one type of controls for a game jam.  Great entry!

Developer

yeah, i really dislike it when a game makes you switch control methods, and when I started making the game I made it with space and arrow keys cuz i didn’t plan the mouse cursor thingy yet, and by the time I did add it, I was way too used to space and arrow keys lol

I CANNOT find the olives man. good game though. also, is this a scratch game ported through turbowarp?

Developer (2 edits)

the entire game was made in turbowarp how the hell could you tell?? also the olives are the dark oval-shaped things in the fridge, because on pizza you put black olives, but i thought that was too long for the order device

i've been on scratch for 3 and a half years. I know what a scratch project looks like. it's all in the variables man

Developer

ah fair enough, forgot about the list and the variable

Fast paced and very fishy :D The tutorial leaflet was a cute and a creative idea. After I figured the mechanics out I had great fun.

I loved it. The animation for manual, the old school internet music, the low-effort voice acting and the wonky artstyle melt together very well. The UI part can be improved a bit, such as label the bar as oxygen/wait time and label the food in fridge, but it not that big deal. Suprisingly, my favourite part of the game is reading and enjoying the manual. Great job!

Btw, is the music you make yourself? It's really catchy so it would be great if there a standalone version of it.

  • Was going to label the bars but I forgot :[
  • I didn’t want to clutter up the fridge more than it already was tbh.
  • Why does everyone like the manual so much??? I made it in 5 minutes???
  • I did make the music myself! I posted all the songs to my soundcloud, so you can listen to them there if you want https://soundcloud.com/ampixxy/sets/fish-in-a-kitchen-soundtrack

If the game is broken switch to a different browser (like microsoft edge)

It took me a bit to understand how to play but once I did it was fun, the artstyle is charming (especially the real life notebook) and the voice acting too. I really liked the effects in the game, stuff like when you interact with the sink. The only issue is the games a little hard, otherwise very nice submission

Didn't seem to work in full screen to me.

Developer

like, what didn’t work?

after entering full screen I couldn't control the game. I had fun with the standard view though!

Developer

huh, that’s really weird, what browser are you using? cuz it works fine for me

I was in chrome.
