Great job at creating a vibrant retro feeling with the limited color palette and grainy digitized sounds, really reminds me of the original home computers. The game is very detailed and a lot of effort has gone into creating a vibrant experience. Although the core of the game is the hacking puzzles, the story and feeling of the game world you have created is the standout and makes it quite a memorable play through. Cool game and Good work!
This was fantastic - the aesthetic is brilliant, and perfectly in line with the theme. Dialogue was great, with a ton of charm, and the music and sfx were wonderful.
Gameplay was a lot of fun, with a nice sense of escalation through the levels. Being able to see which nodes would turn but not the percentage was a nice touch, it lent a real sense of tension watching the numbers rise once I hit the hack button and waited to see if I'd done enough.
I would have loved a way to skip cutscenes when replaying levels, particularly given that there's no retry feature, but otherwise I really can't fault this. Great game :)
Cool hacking game! I think there's some work that can be made on making clear to the player what needs to be done. Like, you only get 1 attempt to hack, you can't do it in stages so you need to have all the "routes" selected. I think that is too harsh by the way, you need to give players some kind of leeway other than just an insta fail. Like the longer it takes the player, the higher their detection 100% goes up or something. So they need to do it quickly otherwise they fail. Each hacking map can start with different levels of hacking detection to reflect better and heightened security. Anyway, thought it was a cool looking game that has a lot of potential.
I loved the feel of this game! The character and world design is really compelling. I also thought the tutorial sections did a great job of breaking down the level interface so that I could understand it, although the UI in the shop wasn't immediately clear to me. I was confused which button would purchase and which number represented how many hacks I had already (I initially thought the number next to the price was how many were "in stock").
Thank you for your kind words and your feedback. I think we may just roll out shop tutorial patch some time, that would be easy to implement. We've just played it so much that it's hard to remember what the first-time experience is like!
I love the aesthetic and tone of this game. The gradual in-game demonstrations on how the single/double/etc hacks work is done really well.
