Hello! Welcome to Feedback Quest 5!

Another game I was looking to see return. Exciting times! :D

Now, truth be told I don't remember any past advice I had given. That said, some things felt better this time around than before. It's hard to explain, but combat felt better. The little tutorials you added in the first stage were also great! It helped give a better idea of certain effects. I also noticed the turrets in the second stage don't aim as accurately as I recall them doing so, which make it easier for me to get around.

Now throughout this, I've been trying to figure out the keyboard control issue. It kind of just clicked in my head while playing. I could be forgetting some aspect of the gameplay when I bring this up, so I apologize if that's the case but... why not do mouse and keyboard like it was a shooter game? You still move with WASD, keeping those controls the same, but you make space as your jump button, shift as your dash button, left click to shoot, right click to use your spell and middle click to use the spell you can swap? You could even make it that pressing 1 does the middle click idea. CTRL can still swap spells.

That is a great suggestion! I'll give it a try, my only worry is that the game would behave differently when played with controller, sonce now you would be able to fire while walking backwards with mouse and keyboard but not with controller, plus I would need to figure out run.. I don't want the player to be able to run backwards so I need to test how that feels. And yes controller have the right stick wich could be use as the mouse but I don't think is going to feel as good as it currently feels (with controller I mean). Still a lot to think and try.

Thanks a lot for playing the game and for the great feedback! I hope you still had a good time playing it!

They don't need to aim using the mouse itself, just use the mouse to shoot. Under this, they would still change directions when they press the arrow key.

Developer

That could work, I'll give it a shoot. I hope I get to see you play! I hope you upload the stream to YouTube like you did for day one!

I've always been thoroughly impressed with each time I play Commander Tiberius Troubleson.  Beautiful artwork, fast-paced combat with space magic!  I didn't luck out and find the doggo, but I did massively spawn the bears to assist me quite often.  Great work as always, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Thank you! I'll spoil you eventually where is the dog, it doesn't do much, but it does welcome you when you die! Thanks for playing again! Was trying to catch your stream but clearly I missed it.

Edit: Just watched the VOD! You are getting good.

I think I need to make secrets a little less secret, I always feel they are too easy to spot but I forget players are usually just trying to survive. If you play it some time again, look for secrets, in the walls, in the floors, on the edges of the map. Sometimes stone breaks if you land to hard...

I did find at least one secret in a wall, purely by accident.  I will have to look for them a bit more to try and find them.  Once I know what to look for I'll probably notice them more.  There is usually so much going on that I don't tend to check walls or the ground after surviving an onslaught of enemies, but I'll have to do that now!

Developer

Yeah, I have a thing for secrets, I constantly need to stop myself from wasting days in making secret stuff no one will ever find 😅
