Very cool game design!
I love the idea of quick progressing with various platforming upgrades.
This seems like a very good proof of concept game.
I couldn't figure out how to purchase an upgrade for 50 from the skill tree. I had more than 50 crystals and trying clicking, and pressing various keys but I couldn't purchase them.
It would also be nice to have an options menu to tweak the controls (I wanted to press Spacebar to jump), and tune the sound and music volume.
This gameplay direction has a ton of potential!
Just made my let’s play on your game as a regular player (so it’s without voice comments). I hope it will be useful for you to see how fresh players may started your game for the first time :) I’ll provide text comments later, probably after finishing the videos for other projects :)
Hey, very,very nice game!
I just do not get why the progress is lost as soon as you die. I cannot pass more than 3 level
But as I understood, there are local multiplayer mode, many player upgrades - so it has to be fun if you decrease the difficulty
UI and music need to be polished, art is great for platformer :)
Hey, thanks for trying my game out!
The progress is lost because i had an idea to try and make it a rogue-lite type game. a few people have said its initial game is pretty difficult though, i might need to look at the scaling a bit.
Yes i agree with your comments about the UI and music, its definitely a weak spot for me :)
I am just too bad with platformers. :(
Anyway, cool design and nice controls. But here come the suggestions: The option to restart in the level where you died would be nicer for casual players like me. The animation and sound effect when dying was a bit too lengthy for my taste (maybe only because I died so often? ;-) Also, the sound was much less cool and more retro than the graphics, so I felt this didn't match as well.
Haven't tried multiplayer mode. That's a nice feature!
hey, thanks for trying out my game!
Restarting on a level is not a bad idea. The concept of the game was supposed to be kind of a rogue lite though, so it might affect it from that point of view. However I know spelunky has a concept like that where you can skip sections at the cost of actual game progression. There is a player unlockable in escape the ether that allows the player to start at level 50 when you achieve this level normally in game, but you can't gain points while playing as it. maybe I could increase this mechanic a bit and get the best of both worlds?
Yes I agree with your comments about the end scene. I definitely need to improve this somehow, I'll have a think about it.
This is awesome. The movement based gameplay is fantastic and I love the aesthetic (great art style!). The procedurally generated levels feel very polished. I did find the higher rounds quite difficult though... well, for me anyway. Great job and I wish you all the success with the full version!
thank you so much for the kind words and for checking my game out! Haha yes, even I find the later levels hard, I keep changing things trying to make it more balanced, but it keeps ending up like dark souls 😭
Very cool looking platformer and I LOVE that it also has split screen! We really need more splitscreen games!
hell ye we do. Its on steam and works with steam play together too! Thanks for checking my game out!
