Great work, I really liked the atmosphere and exploring the world. Very neat backgrounds/ visual design. The movement is precise, which is good, but your top speed for running is maybe too fast. I am grateful for the instant respawn when you fall, because I died like 30 times in the cave lol. Would love to play more if you keep working on it :)
The atmosphere is fantastic. Gray scale perfectly give vibes of abandoned city. Player runs absurdly fast and has unrealistic jumping force, but that's actually fun in this game.
There is one thing I don't like in this. It is a level design of cave stage. This level is way too dark, even if it's forgotten city's cave. My eyes had hard time finding next platforms. Also these platforms are not visible in player's range, so it's rather guessing time to perfectly land on them, stop, and jump on next one. Also the broken ladder is misleading. For 10 minutes I was trying to find path beyond cave's jam just to discover you have to get out of the the same way to entered. I felt disappointed that I wasted time there.
To sum up, that's fun game with very smooth jumping mechanics and a bit too fast player running speed. Except cave level, I enjoyed exploring this forgotten city. Good entry!
The game has very fluid mechanics and a really nice atmosphere. Liked it over all.
Nice work. I was able to find all the orbs and man can the player character move. It borders on a bit to fast for precision jumps for me but that's just an opinion. The cave was a bit too dark for me and felt straining on the eyes keeping track of the player, especially because it required the most precise jumping.
Overall I really enjoyed it, while I wouldn't say it's easy to complete anyone can pick it up and jump around with ease. Well done.
Love the wall jumping mechanic, game felt very fluid.
Thanks, i spent half the jam time getting the movement to feel satisfting to me, glad you feel the same!
Love to see games like that ;)
thanks!
