I survived for 1400 years. I made my connections and then let it run in the background, intercepting on occasion when a resource was running low. The visuals were great, and I liked the music, but I have to admit that I didn't really know what I was doing. After I made the connections, I just kind of fiddled with the numbers to ensure they wouldn't go to zero. I think this was a good effort, but there maybe could have been some feedback to the player to tell them what they are doing and why things are happening. Great job, though.

Interesting game, I like galaxy management games like these. The problem here that too little information is given to the player, for these kinds of games it's always nice to have as many numbers as possible (it's a strategy game after all)

For instance here it would really help if the player can see stuff like how much it costs to link to another planet, how much resources your empire is currently requiring and how much you get per link established to a planet. This would also solve problems like making clear to the player that drain links are the only way to get more iron and thus establish more links.

Also as a small helper to new players it might be useful to block the player from starting a drain link from their home planet because that instantly locks your empire, found out about that the hard way hahaha

The music and visuals are nice, good job! (I also like that you already added difficulty levels!)

I think it's quite bold to make strategy games for game jams, so kudos for that! The idea of links is interesting, but I didn't actually get why the numbers went up or down. I also love the space setting!

The idea of the game is good, but I couldn't actually understand the mechanic, maybe some visual feedbacks would be great to understand  if the planet is selectable or which one I can drain, things like that. Anyhow good job!

You have to click on the planet you want to depart from and then the one you want the link to go

Interesting game, but it seems I never clicked on a valid planet.

Developer

could you provide me a video so i can fix the bug please?

Developer

I forgot to say it on the how to play but you first have to select the planet you want to set the first point and then the second

Yeah I figured it out after a little while. Played with fossils and got out of money.
